Re: ray cokes… in Chit-Chat

This year he presented a live music show on Tuesday nights for the french/german tv channel Arte (last show two weeks ago was an acoustic set by Radiohead).

And Ray is still GREAT as always!

Re: Arrest Warrant Issued for Michael Jackson in Chit-Chat

Jacko is one of the most mentally disturbed people I’ve ever seen. That’s why he’s fully entitled to join the T? fans community and, as a consequence, the WoM.

So please dear Administrators, create a WoM account for him and send him an invitation to join us.

It would also be great to invite him to a gig, just to see him headbanging on “Nowhere”, even if I think he’ll instantly start losing pieces from his face…

Re: Happy B-day Michael!!! in Chit-Chat

I have to say no thanks for the cake (diet rules) but happy birthday anyway :D
I wish you it will be a very special day! 23 is such a sweet and funny age…

Re: Quick question in Chit-Chat

Hooch: my link was not totally wrong. In fact it just shows our age difference… :D
Actually Innerspace was a sort of comedy remake of Fantastic Voyage, more than twenty years later… and the fact that I can remember so well the “original” 1966 movie makes me feel oh so old… :( more or less like when I look at my daughter dancing on the cover of Queen’s We will rock you…

Cheers,
P

Re: The Matrix - game over? in Chit-Chat

Good hint BBGI, you can actually see the two movies as a single 4 hours lasting one…

Some people are not satisfied by the way it ends up.
Me, I DID enjoy!

One of my thoughts about Revolutions is that, once again, I’ve assisted to some incredible SFX *thinking about the fight in the rain* that will surely be copied anywhere else (as it happened for camera stills and “bullet time” of the first movie).

The Matrix - game over? in Chit-Chat

Title: The Matrix - game over?

Hello,
I’m just back from the cinema. I won’t give any details about the story, I just think it’s a “must see” so go and enjoy the movie.

And when you come back don’t forget to leave your opinions on the WoM!

Read you soon,

Re: Duets in Chit-Chat

Agreed! ;)
I’d also love to sing “Rotten Apple” or “No Excuses” w/ Layne Staley… but it’s too late…

btw, any possible duet with Andy would be a dream come true (even if for the audience I don’t think so :D )

Ciao,
P

Re: How do I get the girl I love back?????? in Chit-Chat

I started reading and it dragged back my feelings, of many, many years ago…
Same experience, same shitty days, feeling like someone who has been given a teaspoon to dig down a whole mountain of shit. The good times come the first morning you wake up and you discover that your first thoughts of the day weren’t about her. That’s when you first see the light at the end of the tunnel.
About how to come over this: It’s a very personal thing.
Do everything you like the most and try to get involved in it.
Music has also had a great meaning in my life, Phil Collins “against all odds” was my favourite at the time.
I also playedit on my guitar. Please stop laughing, I’ve heard you. :D
I agree with Dano, there are (sadly) good chances that she has someone else.
Two things: YES you have to know the truth, and NO, don’t stay friends.
Sometimes it’s a long way, but you’ll surely succeed in forgetting her. But never completely. She’ll always stay in a little corner of your heart.
Good luck my friend and take care ;) ,
P

The worst CD you got in Chit-Chat

Title: The worst CD you got

What is the worst CD you ever bought/received as a gift in your life?

I mean, the kind of thing you see on your shelf while searching for something to listen to, and you think “Oh my God, this is crap, why do I still keep it?”

Anyone can do mistakes… so everone should have at least one of these horrible objects.

My own one, I think is Cake’s “Fashion Nugget”. I listened once, partly. I won’t do it again. I HATE that trumpet

Re: Ever feel your being picked on? in Chit-Chat

:(

Anyway, there are so many DVD players…
How will you use it? Will you listen to CDs too, will you need JPEG, MPEG, DIVX capabilities? This could help you to choose.

Some hints:
- not the cheapest ones, or you’ll need to change it soon for several reasons;
- the web is a good place to find some buyers’ comments and expert reviews about DVD readers, spend some time on the dedicated websites, they often contain some kind of “how to choose” guidelines;

IMO, prefer a simple but high on video quality one. All the rest can be done by other elements of your HiFi/video equipment.

Good luck,
P

Re: Average Age in Chit-Chat

OK, so up to now I’d be the elder… courage…

I confess, 38. But I’m really proud, since T? sent me a great birthday gift: a band’s picture with their signatures.
Believe me, I felt happy like a child… :)
