The worst CD you got in Chit-Chat
Title: The worst CD you got
What is the worst CD you ever bought/received as a gift in your life?
I mean, the kind of thing you see on your shelf while searching for something to listen to, and you think “Oh my God, this is crap, why do I still keep it?”
Anyone can do mistakes… so everone should have at least one of these horrible objects.
My own one, I think is Cake’s “Fashion Nugget”. I listened once, partly. I won’t do it again. I HATE that trumpet :mad:

Green Day - Dookie is great. Whack it on at full blast, and i’m smiling from ear to ear and bouncing around. Then … well… slippery slope. Insomnia wasn’t great; not much to say about it. They do at least have quite an original sound, and they’re not afraid to experiment, but I just found “Nimrod” ultimately unforfilling, and everythings bordering on the irritating, i’m afraid.
You’re right, but actually “Warning” is not bad at all…
About Placebo: I got two tickets for Oct 29th… anyone interested into coming to the show? :D

Re: Alice In Chains in Other Bands & Artists
AIC is definitely one of the best bands in the grunge movement. Even if I don’t really like the live album, they’re miles away from being a Cult clone… I think they gave their best in their “lightest” works, like Jar of Flies, where you can really appreciate their technique and musical feeling, even if they’re a little farer from the grunge style they grew up into.
Great band.

Re: Ever feel your being picked on? in Chit-Chat
:(
Anyway, there are so many DVD players…
How will you use it? Will you listen to CDs too, will you need JPEG, MPEG, DIVX capabilities? This could help you to choose.
Some hints:
- not the cheapest ones, or you’ll need to change it soon for several reasons;
- the web is a good place to find some buyers’ comments and expert reviews about DVD readers, spend some time on the dedicated websites, they often contain some kind of “how to choose” guidelines;
IMO, prefer a simple but high on video quality one. All the rest can be done by other elements of your HiFi/video equipment.
Good luck,
P

Re: Average Age in Chit-Chat
OK, so up to now I’d be the elder… courage…
I confess, 38. But I’m really proud, since T? sent me a great birthday gift: a band’s picture with their signatures.
Believe me, I felt happy like a child… :)
