THis album is fucking weird yo! Good weird though. First listen, really enjoying it. I was scared they’d either make Crooked Timber II or revert back to a pastiche of their nineties sound, but this is something else entirely. Good on yer, boys. Peerless.

I didn’t fear a Crooked Timber II or a move backward, really I didn’t quite know what to expect and ABCOL has had me grinning since I first put it on, its brilliant, different again and nobody could’ve made it.

I can’t wait for the upcoming gigs, until then I’m going to play to everyone I get chance to and hopefully, as with Crooked Timber, they’ll go and buy it too!

Re: new t? shirts!!! in General Therapy? Topics

Seeing the Punk Floyd shirt makes me very happy.

I bought the Kant one at the Liverpool gig - its pretty cool and not as grey as it seems on there (but that could just be my screen, I dunno…)

Re: When do you think the next Therapy? album will be out? in General Therapy? Topics

I had No Love Lost on earlier - brilliant bootleg. I don’t have many but I’m sure I’ve read posts from people who have like Alan that say its one of the better ones thats around. I think it also has the fastest version of Screamager on there that I’ve ever heard.

Just read an interview with Neil in Rhythm and he says at the end of it that they’re planning a live album :)

Re: Gracious me… in Chit-Chat

What?! They can raise boats from decades, even centuries ago but can’t spend on raising the GM? Ours is clearly fresher and so should get raised first, it’ll be easier to fix and so cost less!

Whats all this wire and nationalist fervour doing here?

*kicks it in the canal, polluting all the way*

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live

Yeah, it was abit weird, then the memories of leaving Big Hands with nowhere else to a drink drifted back… followed by memories of then heading to a friend of a friends flat at the hall and some mighty homebrew coming out to help finish the evening!

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live

This is my first proper night back at home since Monday and that was a good night - meeting alot of folk from here, a great gig, lost bits of piercings, beer in Big Hands and waking up in some hall from the 1580’s with no clue how I got there.

These are the signs of a good night.

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live

Theres a few car parks near by but also round the back of Jabez Clegg (Portsmouth Street) has bays that are free after 6 and Denmark Street is the same deal. Both are a couple of mins walk from the gig.

I think I remember that but not much else from the night, I woke up with cuts on my face though…

I’d guess we’ll be at Kro from around 5, something of that order

Re: On stage in Therapy? Live

No no, nothing against it, seen some good gigs in there and played it a few times too. I just like the Hop alot, maybe too much…the little sweat box!

Re: On stage in Therapy? Live

They’re playing Club Academy??? I thought it’d be the Hop & Grape.

Saw Idlewild Saturday before last in Club and they even thought they were playing in the MDH until they got there! Strange times at the Academy!

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live

Responsibility!?? No!!! Nooo…noooooooooooo! Oh well. I’d say beat 7.30 if you can for parking round there - went to Idlewild last Saturday and round the back of Jabez was rammed for cars, and they were playing Club Academy!
