I think its was highly unnecessary and I also think that from his biog, we’ve probably seen him in Big Hands after gigs.

Calm down there mate, eh?

To be honest, it’s become very fashionable in recent times for hte touring bands of the world to pick Blackpool (Britain’s premier seaside resort TM) as their preferred destination for a North-West gig venue, and now Riffs is up and running and putting on gigs by the likes of The Wildearts, I think the Therapy? boys will find it hard to resist the donkey and candy floss charms of the English Riviera.

Good news is that the airport train runs all night back to Manchester.

You can get the train to the Super Casino then ;) :D

I don’t mind where the guys play - I’m going to get more gigs on the next tour so Blackpool, Manc, Preston and Liverpool would be good for me!!

Re: Manchester 27/05/06 in Therapy? Live

Erghhhhhhhhhhhh it took me til 2.15pm to crawl out of bed after last night (back on the beer by 5.15pm though so thats helped)

It was a fucking great gig - got the shit kicked out of me down the front but that adds to the experience! I think maybe next time I’ll have a few less pints and not go on the Jager. Did we help load gear back onto the bus? To be honest hazy is the word for anything after T? walked off stage.

Hope all the WoMbles I met are alright today and I’ll convince Darren to get posting - I believe hes on 0 posts at the moment! Sinner!

:D

Re: Manchester 27/05/06 in Therapy? Live

Cool, its only over the way from the gig, well that or Krobar and thats even nearer - so near you can hear the touts calling to people.

Re: Manchester 27/05/06 in Therapy? Live

*puff of smoke* Hello! :D

A mate just told me hes off to watch Maradonna that night instead now! Its that Soccer Aid thing in town the same night which means town and its transport could well be twatted sideways, whooopeeee!

Carl, how you getting in mate, a train aswell? The only thing I’ve got against GC is how stupidly loud it is in there even sometimes in the middle of the day - can’t hear fuck all. But it could always be a swift one to keep us going til we get to the next pub. We could have a crawl all the way to the gig in fact! (1)

The main spot I was thinking of head for would be Jabez if you know it Gav? Though outside Krobar can be pretty good when its warm.

Erm, thats my quick say on things, phone number-wise or indeed unwise if anyone think they may need mine/wants to pass theirs over(2) just email me. *goes to check his setup for such things from the board*

(1) No Hooch this will not make us late :p
(2) If desparate enough for funds, I may sell your number to others.(3)
(3) This isn’t true.
:D

Re: Manchester 27/05/06 in Therapy? Live

*bright flash and plent o’smoke*

Here I am motherfuckers!

Ahem, anyway… hmmm dunno Carl, its either the Grand Central or The Salisbury you’re thinking of for more rock ‘n’ metal tunes than last time but the only problem I reckon is that we’d just be looking at each other and not speaking coz you can never hear a fucking thing in those two. I reckon a swift one round there to keep us going for the journey (all 10 mins of it if you’re slow) to the union then maybe some over the way in Krobar or Jabez Clegg, then the Union itself. Or something completely different, I have no idea… maybe just go with Hooch’s idea. Do I get paid for being a “guide”? No? Oh well, had to try. :D

Hooch, 6? Bit late on that! :p :D

Alright there, that just proves I didn’t get it right - missed Rise Up out of it I think in another thread! Where abouts we’re you for it? Only asking as I haven’t yet seen anyone else post about being there and was hoping that more WoMbles may have been down there :)

Re: Birmingham acoustic/signing in Therapy? Live

Just noticed a thread in the General T? but on this too…

http://www.musiczone.co.uk/store_locator.asp

All I remeber of the Brum MZ’s is that one is an oversized toaster which they got just before I left Music Zone - a huge deal was made of it in the company-in-house-type-and-generally-pointles-mag and that the others air con unit fell off the roof and hit someone (not in the mag), which must’ve hurt.

This probably doesn’t help at all does it? Hmmm…

*wanders off confused as to why he even posted this*

Extras…

Look! Some shite quality pics and in two posts because I still don’t know how to put more than one in one post!

I think its Neil and Michael in this one, in “Fuzzyvision”

Re: Acoustic Sets Manchester / Nottingham in Therapy? Live

Whoohoo! :D Manchester was good! Started at 6.30 after the guys had been stuck in traffic and (from what brain I have left after the drinking in Jillys) I think the set went like this;

RHC
Rock You Monkeys
Nowhere
Rise Up
Walk Through Darkness
Screamager (which went wrong and required a restart)

Like I say I only think that was the order, the last two are definite.

It all went well and there was a good atmosphere despite the strange setup in the shop - most people were up on the third floor, a flight of stairs higher up than the band. There were a few people there taking pics and recording it but I don’t know what will surface of those.

On the goodies side there were posters and postcard type things after the set and a few people recieved exclusive free beers from Andy at the second session of signing gear in Jillys.

Look at that, all done in my best hungover writting style :o
