Did we not talk to Sam in Manc before the aftershow? I thought we spoke to her but now I can’t remember. *confused*

I have no idea, she was at the atershow, but I was, well that was seen by all. :o

Re: How’s the new merchandise? in Therapy? Live

Yeah, I remember that ;) When I say ‘remember’ I mean I remember upstiars and then downstairs with no movement in between to account for how I got there. When I say ‘that’ I mean being downstairs, pointing saying ‘Its normally there isnt it?’ and Hooch saying that we had to hurry because of the Roots being on that night too and the potential for Big Hands to fill up rapidly, and so we pegged one off.

Oh well, guess I’m waiting for the merch section too then :)

Re: How’s the new merchandise? in Therapy? Live

I never even saw the stall in Manchester it wasn’t in the normal place for merch stands as far as I remember and we only thought to look for it after the gig. Curse that beer…

By the way - the demo rocks! The singer has a really good voice and the sound is really smart for a demo - mixed really well! nice job!

You pound those drums pretty hard as well!

:D Cheers! I gave Neil a copy before whittering some utter drunk bollocks at the poor man (I think most people in sight got whittered at by me in Big Hands) and I think I forced a copy into Andy’s hand aswell. God knows, I was wasted! By the way I didn’t think you seemed rude at all- actually my first suspicion was “He seems stone” ;)

It was a great gig last night, the best I think I’ve ever seen them play. Another great thing for me was meeting some others of here, stonedsetgav, Jasmine, Carl and his beardy drummer friend who I’ve shamefully forgotten the name of- hope the VPlates gig goes well tonight guys!

I need sleep.

Oh tonights gonna be so good! I have to go to work first, but I’ll just ‘borrow’ some stock (a couple of pints should do methinks) and the shift will pass so much quicker! :D

Hopefully see you all later! :D

@Jasmine; Hope those maps etc get you there alright, take care!

@Vplater; I’ll leave some details on your site and we can organise giggin one off at some point! :D

@Mr Bantam; You an early riser then? ;)

For everyone who sees this and goes tomorrow/later today if you see someone in a grey T? hoodie who looks abit like the pic below, and hes flogging his bands demo, please buy one- every £2 goes toward my taxi home after the gig and maybe a beer if I sell enough ;) *plays violin* Thankyou :)

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

I wont have all 50 on me but certainly a few ;) I’m working the next night but whats your band like? Maybe you could get back up to Manc at some point and we can all gig one off?

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

The plan is working! All I need now is some money for the night- gonna sell my bands demo at 2 quid a time and I’ll hopefully have my free sample bottles of Jager (all 50 of them) by then too :D

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

Cool :) See if you if you drop in, if not then maybe at the gig!

Chances are I’ll be in my grey T? hoodie with Therapy? on it in orange for anybody who goes in Font.

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

Erm as far as plans go, I’ve gonna be getting to Font (a nice wee bar near Oxford Road train station) for 7pm. Then its case of waiting for Hoocharoonie and any other WoMble-o-ramas who want to come and play with drink. Anybody who wants more details email me/post here or send ‘smacked up’ carrier pigeon :D

Cheers!

Some links I just found on the place;

http://www.manchester.com/ad/html/bars/bar.php?show=detail&barID=175
http://www.itchymanchester.co.uk/venues/460.html

Does that constitute a plan? Probably not (I’m crap at planning) but I did try…

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

Don’t think we can PM on here, email me though (your contact link won’t let me mail you) and I’ll get back to you with some stuff about parking etc :)

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

Hmm, theres a couple of places you could park- depends on what the plan comes out like and how far you can be bothered walking after the gig. I can put some stuff together and email it to you if you like?

Don’t think I’m allowed to comment on driving- wrote my girlfriends MX-5 off the other week  :(

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

The scream one used to be the Firkin didn’t it? Right o the corner opposite MMU- ah the lectures and seminars I spent i the Firkin…

T’other one I guess over the road is Krobar- pretty cool place if a little cramped inside- met lots of people there before the Wildhearts gig who were just there for T? so I reckon that makes it a good place ;)

Oh and theres Jabez Clegg behind Krobar which is a pretty cool place too, and my bands playing there in a week or so- if only we could get over the road…hmm…

Disclaimer; I realise this has not helped in any decision being made as its really just prattle :D

By the way I still say at least start off in Font because theres Jager action to be had in there and its right by Oxford Road train station :)

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

Font! Font! Font! Font! Just cause it has Jager and you promised Hooch :p And its near Oxford Road train station, so you can’t get lost even if you tried :)

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

Hooch- I’ll make a big sign* for you pointing to the bar, where the magic/Jager happens, then you’ll know where you are and I’ll bring some of ZP out for extra fun value ;)

*big sign may be as big as the back of a cereal box, but maybe not even that big.

Re: Merchandise on the Wildhearts/Therapy? tour in Therapy? Live

It was hard to choose, I’d just decided on the “Be nice..” shirt over the hoodie. But all my hoodie’s are beaten up and my girlfriend chipped in and pointed to hoodie saying “Have that!” and before i knew it was in my hand and the money gone :D But I’m well pleased with it now. :)

Re: Merchandise on the Wildhearts/Therapy? tour in Therapy? Live

Ah my foggy brain will try. Theres the “Be nice to your parents” T-shirt. It has similar styling to the back of the Hey Satan shirt if I remember correctly.
A grey hoody with Therapy? on in orange- which I liked so much I bought one. The Hey Satan shirt was still there aswell. Don’t remember the rest really because the lights went down literally as I got my change so I dashed off to watch T? and I was drunk :) The prices seemed to be in the normal range, the hoody (hoodie? which is right?) was £25 and the shirts about £12. Oh and with the change I got some little black stickers with Therapy? on in silver and this site’s address beneath that. That the best I can do I’m afraid and personally I thought the stuff was pretty good, but thats just my opinion. :)

Interesting note, though the Wildhearts and T?’s merch stands were right next to each other, they had no idea of each others prices etc- I asked the wrong person first.

Re: Manchestria! in Therapy? Live

What a great gig! I don’t remeber much of the Wildhearts set because I’d challenged my mate to a drinking contest by that point- though I do remeber being good and getting paramedics for a crowd surfer who got knocked about too much.

T? were brilliant and they played so many Troublegum songs! Fantastico! My night was mared only by the fact that I got way too drunk and had to be helped home (shoved in taxi) just after getting to Big Hands. Oh well!

Re: Manchestria! in Therapy? Live

Well I’d say it looks like its on- I was in town an hour ago and drove past to see if anthing/anyone was there and though theres was no tour bus there were 2 big wagion/van type things out the back of the academy. Candidates for having the gear in I reckon. Fingers crossed! :)

Manchestria! in Therapy? Live

Title: Manchestria!

This means the last two UK tours will have started in town so I think we deserve a thread! :D

Really I’m just getting excited and can’t wait. A friday night starting with this gig? There must be a God!

7.30 doors with three bands- that should give T? around 45 minuets shouldn’t it? All the showtimes sheets I’ve got from other gigs with the same doors and number of bands have about that long. Yes, I’m sad and take them at the end- setlists aswell and I’ve even got signs pointing to the toilets and appolgising for the building work when the MDH and Hop and Grape were being done up years ago.

Well I know most of the security and local crew now so maybe this time I can get something more… amps, guitars, drums, T? :D Nah, nevermind.

I’m just hoping it doesn’t get called off!
