Re: T? Fans at Glastonbury Festival? in Chit-Chat
Michael Eavies hates ‘hard rock’ bands and doesn’t want them in his farm, so bollocks to him.
Hardly anything grapped my attention this year.

Re: George Carlin RIP in Chit-Chat
I’ve never heard of him until Bill and Ted were mentioned. He sounded like he was the Bill Hicks of his day.
RIP and Party On Dude

Well said Dennis. Around 97/98 wasn’t it? God I’m starting to feel my age now.
Yes barman, just half a stout.

Re: Dead Man’s Shoes in Chit-Chat
Dead Man’s Shoes is a great film, but like Shane’s other films like 24/7, it somewhat got overshawdowed by This Is England, but go and see DMS anyway, as its a great film.

Re: What’s everyone NOT watching? in Chit-Chat
MTV is still around, and even worse.
Bring back the days of old, when they played music, had Beavis and Butthead, 120 Minutes, Head Bangers Ball (Triple Thrash Treat an all), Ray Cokes, MTV’s Greatest Hits…not bloody wanna be celeb shite.

Why not play the whole lot.
And Butters, how could you do that to a woman? Now off to bed.

Re: Whats the next gig you want to go to? in Chit-Chat
Maiden is my next gig, and I have a rough idea what the set list is like, but whatever, it should be good since they’ll probably never play most of that stuff again

Hardly watch Heroes anymore, doing more stuff instead - reading, writing, shagging, etc

Re: What’s EveryOne watching in Chit-Chat
This is a long shot, but does anyone (probably over the age of 30) remember a show called Hardwick House? A school based comedy that Whitehouse (or should that be Shithouse?) help drag off the air. It was violent and funny and bloody nuts.
By the way, whatever Whitehouse called her crew, they were renamed Mediawatch in 2001. I’ll try and get their address so we can all send in our abuse. :-)

Re: What’s EveryOne watching in Chit-Chat
I watched that Mary Whitehouse drama last night, Filth.
Good laugh in places, but in the end, I still wanted to whack the little bitch (or in her case, do something to her grave). She had a point of having a watershed and what have you, but she went nuts when it came to censorship (or should that be censorshit). Liked the bit when people who age had a pop at her though, and why she went apeshit over the word ‘knickers’ in a Beatles song is beyond me. That group is still going, by the way, but under a different name (Mediawatch) and they hate South Park, Graham Norton and anything that’s on late on a Friday on Channel 4.
Sad sods, the lot of them.

Its got its moments, but you just wonder about Bryn - is he gay or isn’t he. Tell tale signs being he’d seen Brokeback Mountain twice in one day and he was close to being naked with Smithy in his home gym.

Can’t be arsed with football, in fact, the only thing I’m interested in the game is when there are news items involving football hooligans wanting to draw blood out of each other.
Then again, I’ve read the books, seen The Football Factory, Green Street and the Rise of the Foot Soldier, even spoke to a few down my old man’s local and was close to buying a few costly Stone Island shirts…oh I’m going on, but you know.
