Re: Which cities should T? tour next year if you could wish? in Therapy? Live
Haven’t been on the WOM lately, but I hope my ‘voice’ still counts: anywhere in Holland.

Re: Please recommend me some Therapy? album in Chit-Chat
Dear trohat,
The boy’s asleep is a good song but not representative. I would suggest you listen to Nurse, Troublegum, High Anxiety, Never apologise never explain and Crooked timber. The not-mentioned albums are fantastic as well, but you have to start somewhere…:)
yours truly,
3ddo
…and if it makes you happy, it doesn’t make me sorry

Re: What was your first “new” Therapy? album? in General Therapy? Topics
Troublegum, like (I think) most of the oldies amongst us. I then also bought the Die Laughing single with the ‘he he he he’ laughing voice. After all these years (Almost 20!!) it still works!

Content - Gang of four, with genious Andy Gill (producer of Crooked timber) on guitar.

Re: Andy’s political view on Ireland in General Therapy? Topics
i remember andy saying something similar to what fatboy quotes. there’s one thing we can be shure of: andy’s ideas are sincere, just and plausible for both sides in ulster/northern ireland. if my mind (reaching 50, mind you) doesn’t cheat me, i believe andy has the same ideas about (northern) ireland as slf’s jake burns. correct me if i’m wrong. anyway: therapy? will always be a ‘belfast’ band. i’d be proud of that, living over there.

Re: Melkweg Amsterdam 16th november in Therapy? Live
I uploaded the films to my pc. The images are good but the sound quality is poor, due to the fact that we were standing too close to the speakers. Sorry to dissapoint you all, but I’m not going to upload them to Youtube. It would spoil the memory of a fantastic gig and do harm to the reputation of T? as one of the best live acts of the past twenty years. I hope you’ll understand.

Melkweg Amsterdam 16th november in Therapy? Live
One of the best T? gigs I can remember. The mrs and I were having a great evening up on the balcony. We made a few films and if they’re good enough, I’ll upload them to Youtube. Off course I’l share the links with you all.
Afterwards we met some of the other ‘regulars’ like Ronald and the ‘gang’. We also had a nice chat with Neil, who remembered the polar bear mask of a few years ago. Great.

Re: Your taste in music… in Chit-Chat
very intersetting thread, and never seen before (at this forum anyway). from what i’ve seen untill now, i think i can add a few bands and composers. what about J.S. Bach (believe it or not, he’s my all time favorite), Vivaldi, Händel, Locatelli, Gustav Mahler, Claude Bedussy, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Coleman Hawkins, Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd, Genesis with Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Talking Heads, The Cure, Killing Joke, The Sound, Crass, Dead Kennedys, Stiff little fingers, The Damned, The Mission, Metallica, Wolfmother, Tool, Editors, New Cool Collective, Hans Teeuwen, Benjamin Herman, Racoon, Gruppo Sportivo, and some more…

Re: Rate the Albums (1 - 10) in General Therapy? Topics
ever since i was a school boy i hated ratings, and i still do. zapping through the posts, i see that overall shameless seems to be the less liked album. i like it less than the others as well. crooked timber, never apologize, never explain, high anxiety and troublegum are my favs.

Re: What’s everybody reading in Chit-Chat
Usually I read a few books at the same time. Momentarilly they are Sherlock Holmes, the complete novels and stories (off course by Conan Doyle), The complete works of E.A. Poe, a travelling book about Berlin (I’m going there to run the marathon and do other things) and short stories by a recently deceased Dutch author called Martin Bril. The books are totally different, but also similar: short stories.

Re: What is your perfect song? in Chit-Chat
The perfect song doesn’t exist. Every day another song or tune is ‘the best’, but never perfect. Almost perfect is more interesting than perfect!

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat
6th June: Kaderock in The Hague. There was this fantastic rockband with three female singers: Two Way Radio The best Dutch band in years!

Re: What’s everybody reading in Chit-Chat
I always read more books at the same time, depending on what time of day, what mood I’m in… The past few months I’ve been reading Sherlock Holmes, the complete novels and stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, Edgar Allan Poe, Mijn leven als hond by the recently departed, brilliant Dutch columnist Martin Bril and an interesting book about the secret history of the world.

Re: Exclusive Therapy? Interview - What questions do you want to ask the band? in General Therapy? Topics
We were out on holiday when you played at Tivoli, Utrecht. When and where will be the next gigs in Holland? Second question: what has become of the polar bear mask?

Re: European elections in Chit-Chat
If we vote(d) or not, we can’t ignore that we’re part of the EU. Once every five years we have something to say. It’s easy to vote for parties that are against everything that smells like EU. But what do they have to offer? Nothing. The PVV, an extreme right wing Dutch party ended up second. They are going to do nothing in Brussels but shout and disagree with everything. Count your blessings!
I’m not entirely pro-EU, but I think that we need each other to get things done. And, it has it’s benefits. Dutch citizens pay € 245.00 per person a year and benfit approximately € 600.00 per person a year. Ignorance ruled the EU-elections, otherwise this PVV had not won in Holland.
