I have to admit that at first I was a little disappointed but now I love it !!! Best live track has got to be Body Bag Girl (played as encore at the Berlin show), but Slash is also a current favourite. I was also the same with every album!!! I think Therapy? constantly surprise because each album sounds different to my expectations i.e. Nurse at first sounded a little too over produced, but then after a few plays, it fitted the whole mood of the songs well. Infernal Love I expected to be another Troulegum but was more of a rock epic. and so on and so forth. The only one that wasnt a surprise was Troublegum and that was only because of the amount of material on there that had already been aired.

I think its a credit to them that they dont make exactly what you expect them to !!! Hence I would agree that after a little time, it is another classic Therapy? album.

Hi, I had a long chat with Dave at the Berlin gig and can only say that his sense of humour will definitely brighten up this board when he finally arrives !!!

Garry aka Bruno is alive and well as I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago, hes just working in London at the moment, but you will see him at the London Ocean show.

ps DD shares a flat with Charlotte from Ash (not Mark Hamilton).

ok ok I have to admit I was impressed by the German performance last night…well done !!!

i was the one who put beautifulgarbage in my top ten, I think its remarkable album considering the amount of venom in the lyrics…and its all packed up like pop music, sixties beats and electronics. Britney Spears, for all the hatred she gets is a perfect example of a female singer who is brilliant at what she does, whether you like it or not. I wouldnt knock her for it ! Garbage on the other hand have managed to make a wicked album dressed up in teenagers clothes…a lot more subversive and original that Korn, Limp Bizkit and all the shitty nu metal lot will ever be able to claim.

Ill add my prediction for the Germany match:

Germany 0 Ukraine 1 (last minute penalty hopefully !!!)

I will be watching the game at Ministry of Sounds office in Germany amongst many (hopefully) upset Germans…

I do love Germans honestly, I live here ! I just dont like them winning football matches…

although I agree with Innocents comment about fans going down, one thing you have to remember is that Troublegum peaked with high sales because of many things, not least because they made a fantastic record, timed it just right and stood out like a sore thumb from the rubbish around at the time. Then along came Infernal Love which most people, as Michael once said, expected to be Troublegum Mark 2, but wasnt. By that time, the casual fans that the band picked up bought Infernal Love but were disappointed, hence the subsquent drop off. Add to that the marketing clout that A&M put behind the band before that wasnt really present for the next albums. All in all, I think that Therapy’s fanbase hasnt really shrunk, theyve just got rid of the fans that wanted them to make Troublegum Mark 2, 3,4 and 5. The same amount of fans bought Shameless as they did Nurse. Personally, Im glad the guys have gone down this route, they develop a new sound with each album and endless copies of TG would be boring.

As its that time of year again, and the nights are drawing in, people everywhere put together their Top 10 lists, so I thought I would put down my best albums of the year list and ask everyone else to do the same, in the interests of broadening our musical horizons (or confirming our own excellent taste) Anyway, heres mine, let us know what you all have in your top 10:

I know that Troublegum sold well over 100,000 in the UK alone and Infernal Love is just under that figure. With European, Japanese etc sales included the figure for Troublegum I seem to remember seeing somewhere around 250,000. I’ll see what I can dig out of the memory palace.

I’ll have a chat to Motor and find out although I guess they’re usually not that keen on giving out sales figures.

by the way, Therapy have sold a million too.

bands that are not famous in the US do not ‘come and go’, they exist perfectly well in the rest of the world with much success without the US taking any notice. I can think of a million examples. I can also think of a lot of examples of bands that achieve success in the US and ‘come and go’ in the rest of the world, because, quite simply, they are pants.

I wouldnt really classify Slayer and Pantera as being that successful, especially when you compare them to Therapy?

I disagree that success in the US gives makes a band ‘successful’. I am not anti-american when I say this, but three quarters of all UK and European bands that are superstars in the UK, Europe and Japan have not had success in the US, because the market is generally far too retarded to ‘get it’. Take a look at the American charts - mostly rubbish - and has been for years. The only rock bands that have made it have had to ‘dumb down’ for the US or were pretty safe and conventional anyway. I would gladly take the fame and fortune that comes from from success in other territories without having to change for the US market.

as far as I remember the labels on the bootleg are the right way round, but on the original they are the wrong way round. I think there was about 500 of the bootleg done (nothing to do with me though!!)
