Re: Anyone else can’t wait for Southampton Uni gig in Therapy? Live
Not if you can get 4 of you - then it ain’t much more than the train would be each…so I guess you’re not gonna be able to go then?

Re: Anyone else can’t wait for Southampton Uni gig in Therapy? Live
I know kinda sucks doesn’t it. Apparently with Aqua it costs £28 each way if you book in advance, so could be worth getting a taxi full of people to share the cost - damn scumhampton, we need T? in Pompey again!!

Re: Anyone else can’t wait for Southampton Uni gig in Therapy? Live
I totally lied - last train is 23:42 from Soton Central to Pompey…oops didn’t mean to freak people out by suggesting that train service isn’t anything other than tip top!! Could still be pushing it tho depending on when gig ends, and is quite a way to get back into town…

Re: Anyone else can’t wait for Southampton Uni gig in Therapy? Live
There are 4 of us going from Pompey, and we had a dilema about how to get there. Can’t do trains cos last one from Soton Central is at 20 to 11. Uni too far away to get there in time. I’m driving cos would imagine taxi fare to be horrid from Southsea and back :(. This will be my first sober T? gig ever - they NEED to play Pompey again soon!!!

Re: Moving House in Chit-Chat
Hey we must have the same moving bug. I’m moving in a couple of weeks time. Am trying to be good and get stuff sorted prior but - this is where I beg for sympathy - I’ve got wisdom tooth ache (being pulled tomorrow - arghh), so at the moment my great de-junk plans are on hold.
The only thing I always do is the obvious labeling boxes as to which room they need to go in at the new place. Also give any helpers lots of tea on the day. Oh and don’t do what I did last move and wear a thong - just think of all the heavy boxes you’ll be bending over to pick up - ouch!!!!

Re: Re-use graves or forget burials… how sick? in Chit-Chat
The idea of re-using burial plots isn’t a new one. In many central European cities plots are only leased for 10 to 30 years after which time the remains are removed to make way for someone else. There’s a place in Mexico where, if the relatives don’t continue to pay a fee, the corpses are put in a kind of museum for mummified corpses. I think personally that we are far to reticent in discussing these kinds of issues until an article like the AOL one appears and then we get on our high horses about it. If we were a bit more comfortable with the whole subject of death in general, we might be able to take a more practical approach to where our remains end up.

Absolution hasn’t been off my CD player much since I got it. Just got the RHCP Greatest Hits CD too - you kinda forget how many great songs one band can make - apart from T of course…

Re: the worst concert you’ve ever been at… in Other Bands & Artists
The worst I saw was Ash at Southampton Guildhall in about 96 or 97. They had such little presence that you may as well have just stuck a CD player in the middle of the stage and whacked on their cd. It was so bad right that the support band Bis (yes Bis!) were far superior (in the context of that one gig only I might add)

Re: Hey there all!! in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
What bliss I arrived home from the drudgery of work to find my T? dvd - brilliant!!! Was really weird seeing the older videos again after so long, cool tho, and way better quality than my old tapes of Headbangers Ball and 120 minutes:)

Re: Hey there all!! in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Check out the G’N’R appeciation society I seem to have started…I kinda remember Michael once telling me he liked Appetite, I guess we’re in good company!
Loks like Amazon are finally gonna deliver my mighty T? DVD tomorrow - at last, been seeing some really god feedback on the boards about it - but then I guess these are the T? boards!

Re: Hey there all!! in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
I kinda got into them by accident really. I used to be (ahem) a bit of a G’N’R fan, and and started to read a Kerrang! interview with T? cos I spoted teh name McKeegan in the text thinking it was McKagan (as in Duff!). Doh!. It was such a funny read that I went out and got Opal Mantra, grew out of my G’N’R phase (thank god) and the rest is history! Was pretty much the only T? fan at school college etc, but seem to always manage to drag people along to gigs - and they usually get converted having seen them live. Now live out a secret rock n roll lifestyle whilst stuck in an office all day…

Re: Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth (Nov 26th, 2003) in Therapy? Live
Missed T? last time they played Pompey, and Wednesday made up for the wait! Agree about Michael’s glumness, but was wicked night anyway, roll on the next T? trip to Pompey…
