Re: I want to buy a gun. in Chit-Chat
Don’t you read the papers? Watch the news? Every day people are reoffending!
When i said “prison for a bit” it was a figure of speech man…
My argument is still for punishment, i was merely commenting that if they reoffend they haven’t learned anything have they?
Besides, i’m only voicing an opinion based on my knowledge and experience, i don’t have all the answers! I feel like i’m sitting an exam!
Mr self destruct you seem very touchy about the British Legal System. Its almost as if you believe it works…

Re: I want to buy a gun. in Chit-Chat
Yes we had the death penalty, and are you telling me that things are better since we abolished it?
Yes the Americans have the death penalty AND a high crime rate, but surely if they didn’t have the death penalty they’d have a HIGHER crime rate?!
What i’m trying to say about reoffenders is that, say, take for example someone who’s raped and murdered someone. They get sent to prison for a bit, then upon release they do it again. What then? Put them back in prison?!
You make it sound like i want every criminal in the land killed! I’m talking extreme cases.

Re: I want to buy a gun. in Chit-Chat
how do we know that the death penalty isn’t a detterent to child abusers and murderers? we don’t have the death penalty!
And i seriously doubt that the recorded cases of innocents being given the death penalty is any comparison to the amount of serious criminals who’ve been released and reoffended.

:(, that statement makes me really sad. How can you support a punishment like this. It’s murder. Do you support murder as well?
Depends who’s getting murdered! Seriously though, mine is an extreme opinion i know, and i don’t expect anyone to agree with me, but i think that if you commit a wicked crime (paedophilia for example) you should pay the ultimate price.
But like i say, just an opinion. ;)

Do you not believe in any form of punishment other than prison? Cos i gotta tell you, i’m all for bringing the death penalty back.

Re: I want to buy a gun. in Chit-Chat
i’m not saying kill first ask questions later, i’m just saying that in the UK if someone enters your property illegally with the intent of harm, you have no leg to stand on legally should you react to the situation. So i’m just saying to Matthew that if his laws are the same as the UKs then save yourself the bother and don’t buy a firearm!
If, however, the laws are similar to that of the US’s then go gun crazy boy!

Re: I want to buy a gun. in Chit-Chat
Its all about the criminal in the UK, not the victim. There was a case a couple of years back where a farmer disturbed an intruder and shot him as he ran away, and he was jailed for this. Eventually people power got him released, but the law still stands.
If you’ve got the law on your side i’d say go for it, but if not you’ll get into a whole heap of mess just for some thieving scumbag.

i’m a fan of everything really, although you really can’t beat Brasseye for celebrity humiliation.
With Nathan Barley i thought Nathan as a character was absolute genius, and Dan Ashcroft, but of the actual show only half of them were really any good.

Yeah, i read that not long back. Man that boy was fucked up! I love how with some bands you don’t find out how fucked over they are til after the fact. Like Kurt, remember all the “accidental overdose” reports? Yeah righttt…

there is actually a strange kind of rhythm to the background noise of an office. The air con, heaters, whirring computery type things, printers. MAN i need some music! For some ungodly reason i have black eye peas “my humps” stuck on repeat in my brain as well.

I’ve now joined the disgruntled few who have had to work this week. Hello to whoevers working out there, i share your pain guys. Man, its fucking freezing in this office. I couldn’t be wearing any more tops and jumpers and jackets if i tried, yet i can’t feel my fingers. Still, on the plus side i have an endless supply of coffee, 20 marlboros, and a pocketful of change for the snack machine. I could do with a stereo, mind.
