I worked my way thru the x files last year after having ignored it first time around. Great show. Some more than dodgy episodes, but by and large you can forgive them.

currently listening to the new Iron & Wine album till, brilliant even by his standards. Really fresh and funky.
Also had an album on by M Ward, End Of Amnesia. Really cool stuff.

jeesus fucking christ. As Den said this sounds amazing. Especially that track about 1:30 seconds in. This band are absolutely unbeatable when they’re in peak form. Truly makes me remember why i fell for them 20 odd years ago.

Its been a rare old year for me. I dunno whether its just that i’m getting old and “everything used to be better…etc” but of the 60+ albums i’ve bought this year only 4, FOUR (!) are new releases: The two eels albums, the best coast album, and mondo cane by patton. So, of those four, i’m nominating Eels’ end times.
