Ta, but I was thinking more Enigma-stylee. Female vocals, beats, synths, moody atmosphere etc.
Goldfrapp : Felt Mountain - not really chanty but has female vocal, orchestra, beats, very moody…?

Cheers for the tip mother!

Re: Bruce or Rob? in Other Bands & Artists
{controversial)
As singers go I dont really like either of them, i’m sure technically they can both sing to a very high standard but i dont find any real pleasure in listening to either guy.

Misery Loves Co. can be pretty bleak! Your Vision Was Never Mine To Share is a pretty good album!

Re: Type O Negative in Other Bands & Artists
Bearshare is pretty good as you can download full albums - there is nothing worse than trying to download an album of Kazaa and all the songs have been ripped by different people and are all different quality and volume
Its also worth getting a bit torrent program and having a look on http://www.suprnova.org - that is the fastest way
But if all else fails bearshare - if you have broadband i can give you the type o stuff - just as long as you promise to go out and buy it anyway! ;)

Re: Type O Negative in Other Bands & Artists
Shit - I have just put on World Coming Down and its one of those albums that you forget how good it is!
Difference between the two is ‘World’ is mainly slow and depressing and ‘Life’ is fast and depressing with touches of humour,
Oh - and they are still miserable fuckers ;)

Re: Type O Negative in Other Bands & Artists
World Coming Down: is an ok album - its not bad by any stretch of the imagination but its not brilliant either. Has some great songs on it.
Life is Killing Me: I really like this one - it kinda has elements of all their past stuff, there are some really fast songs on it but some really epic ones like off October Rust - I actually listened to this album today at work!
If you like Bloody Kisses and October Rust and can only buy one of these - i would go for ‘Life…’ every time

Re: Worst lyrics ever ? in Other Bands & Artists
Some northern people (and prehaps a few southern people, eh D?) call the evening meal tea, instead of dinner, as when we eat what we call dinner at lunch time…
dont ask me why - it confused the fuck out of all the people who i went to Uni with.

i’d like to point out that Anarchic Airwaves is a quality disc of live stuff and BBC sessions, even though the band disowned it (same with Landmines…).It’s got the best versions of ‘29X The Pain’ and ‘Love Ya Till I Don’t’.Well reccomended
Tokyo Suits Me Fine is also great

I once heard someone refer to Lars as ‘the metrognome’ which i thought was quite funny… almost as funny as ‘tubby tubthumper’

Re: Lars Ulrich or Travis Barker…? in Other Bands & Artists
Love Metallica & am a bit indifferent about Blink182…
…but Travis is a better drummer, lars is a shit drummer and it proved it at Donnington when Metallica had a real drummer play for them
The stuff that Travis does in Blink isnt all that great but the stuff he does in the Transplants is pretty fuckin good - I dont really like the band but you have to tip your hat at what he does using just a kick, snare and hi-hats - i dont even think he uses cymbals on it…

Re: Wildhearts - Anthem in Other Bands & Artists
I was really worried about scuzz going really shit like Kerrang tv - the people who run ‘the hits’ took it over the other week - looks like it is staying as it is though!
