I was thinking of getting an iPod but seriously reconsidered.

I got the Creative 40gig Zen instead - they are a lot cheaper (when i got mine it was £100 cheaper with an extra 10gig) - plus they have a removable battery. The iPod battery is built in and i read somewhere that they only have a life expectancy of 3 years, then you have to send the unit off to apple to have the battery changed - the Zen you flip off the cover and stick a new one in.

There is some ruling that European personal stereos have to be volume limited to protect your hearing (Something you are not trusted to do yourself apparently) When i bought mine in the UK it was really quiet and totally useless if you wanted to use the headphone socket as a line out.
But you can download the US firmware and fix this quite easily.

If you are getting an iPod - check you can do this.

Yeah - you see them as you drive past… decked out in Burbury & Rockports or whatever the fuck it is, chainsmoking with a can of stella in hand!

They should do that countrywide - If you are caught with no tax or insurance - just crush the car… people will soon figure it out and start taxing and insuring them.

Every week in the local paper it prints the ‘cases before the bench’ section and it is full of people being done for no insurance - and they get fined £180 - it cost me £900 to insure my car for a year - if i got caught 5 times in a year it would only cost me the same - its a fucking joke.

Yeah - I’ve had loads of Cure compilations for ages and last week i (naughtily) downloaded their entire discography… so I am just working through them - The standout ones so far are Disintegration, Bloodflowers, Pornography and maybe Wish…

I will end up buying the ones I like - and probably all of them in time!

I think it is possible to be a fan and not check this site, I wouldn’t have known the difference if i didn’t come on here and have it explained.

With only a 1000 copies in circulation - not many people will have seen the original to differentiate between the two - I had this on my watch list and would probably have believed it was genuine based on the description.

Kids Stuff is a pretty good song, wouldn’t mind hearing that on a tour or Auto Surgery, Totally Random Man or Summer of Hate… when you think about it they have some pretty cool b-sides
