Re: i’ve won!!!!!!!!!!! in Chit-Chat

MK Bowl is good in the sense that the stages are together so you dont miss bands - but i doubt you would get all the people that went to Donnington in the bowl…

You dont know the half of it - One way systems, endless traffic lights and digging up roads seems to be one of the councils favourite passtimes…

Don’t you guys have any decent record shop in your vicinity, you know: a building that you enter through the door and where you find shelves full of cds. :)

Hehe - my nearest record shop is 6.5 miles away in Blackburn - so thats 25 minute drive, £3 to park, £16 quid for the album off those moneygrabbing bastards at HMV (if they decide to stock it!) and you have to look through the shelves whilst avoiding all the students endlessly browsing with no intention of buying, all the single mums with their prams chatting & blocking all the isles and all the crackheads stuffing their puffa jackets with all the rest of the stock to fund their scagg habbit!

I used to love going to record shops but now its just a fucking chore! - it’ll probably be £9.99 from play i think - it will probably arrive the weekend before the release date anyway!

Re: Links to cool things in Chit-Chat

I think this just works for the UK - but you enter your postcode and it tells you all the places nearby with rude names - I live near a ‘Nob End’ and ‘Dick Slack’ -

Hours of Fun!

Onto RHCP, I think the reason they took so much time off is that first of all John became a hardcore heroin addict and Dave just didn’t gel with the band. I could tell that just by reading the promo interviews they did for One Hot Minute.

Which is a shame cause that is one of my favourite albums - Dave Navaro is an awesome guitar player! I much prefer it to the last two RHCP records

14 tracks :)

Re: cultural differences in Chit-Chat

It was in the ‘always truthful’ Daily Mirror…

It was a survey carried out by the British Consulate on American Students in California, Virginia, Massachusetts and Texas.

60% also said it was too cold to possibly live in England and that Beckham was a hockey player…

This did follow an article on ‘How Fat is Kirsty Alley?’ so read into it what you will!

Re: cultural differences in Chit-Chat

Hehe - just read in the paper that the American students think that everyone in England talks ‘proper’ English, the police in walk round with wooden bats, it always rains and children are whipped at school… which re-enforces the stereotype that Americans can be a little bit dumb :p

Christian Brückner has come to fame just because he’s the voice of Robert De Niro.

When you think about it - that seems really weird! - do the voice over people always stick to the same actors for all their films?

Re: echo and the therapy? in General Therapy? Topics

I love ‘the killing moon’ - but thats all i really know by them - saw it on a top of the pops 2 a few years ago and downloaded it - think its an ace song!

Saw it was used in Donnie Darko a few years later and it was really well used!

As for the other bands - I love the Cure, Smiths, Jesus & Mary Chain, Killing Joke, Sisters Of Mercy & the Cult… but you missed out My Bloody Valentine - who were also pretty good

Re: The last episode of Friends in Chit-Chat

Hehe - they always seem to use someone totally unsuitable for the voice…

used to get rtl and sat1 on analouge satalite - was funny as fuck watching british and american shows dubbed in German!
