Have you tried BadKarma’s link?

Re: Andy on Total Rock in General Therapy? Topics

Is anyone going to manage recording it? I’m definitely going to miss the first hour or so, possibly more (possibly all) :(

Re: Martin leaves Therapy? a 3 piece in General Therapy? Topics

Thanks for writing, Michael. Umm, not too sure I have anything constructive to say, but it seemed rude clamouring for answers and then ignoring you when you responded… (I always sound insincere anyway :p) Any clues you can give us about just how the band’s direction is going to be different? (I know: want want want). Good luck in all things (to all of you)!

Hello Martin <waves>, I see you there. I feel a bit guilty about comparing you to the guitarist from Linkin Park, now. :/ I hope everything is alright with you, wherever you are. Good luck.

I wonder why…

Seriously though, I agree. It may be nice to say that it is/should be just about the music, but this isn’t just a faceless band that we can easily ignore, and disregard what happens within it. WE want to know because we care, though it often doesn’t work out like that.

That’s really too bad :(

Re: T? Hangouts in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Friend of a friend…

Okay, I don’t know if this is true, but it’s kind of funny anyway. A friend of mine said that some years ago he was walking along the road with his mate (not sure where, but he lives in Weymouth…), and they saw Andy on the otherside walking along. This guy started shouting out, like:’Andy! Hey ANDY! ANDREW! ANDEEEE! ANDY!!’ and Andy turned round and bellowed back ‘FUCKING _WHAT_?!?!’ The guy was too stunned to say anything and Andy walked off. :)

Re: is martin back yet?? in General Therapy? Topics

Yes, because even apart from the earmuffs, they’re practically identical, aren’t they? (And have you ever seen them together?)… :D

Okay, starting to scare myself now.. ;)

Re: is martin back yet?? in General Therapy? Topics

That’s really excellent news.

 just how large is this ear protection of yours? (imagining huge fluffy ears muffs)

good luck, see you real soon.

Hmm, online camp-fire style singing, or just camp online? The choice, gentle reader, is yours. <points directly at screen>

Re: Song to cover? in General Therapy? Topics

It would have to be The Forest Whispers My Name, then.

Andy does Dani Filth. Now THAT I’d like to hear! ;)

Re: Song to cover? in General Therapy? Topics

Well it would be nice to find out (hint hint to any of the guys listening):). Yeah, it would have to have cello in it, that would work really well, i think.

Re: Song to cover? in General Therapy? Topics

Well, my favourite Joy Division song has to be New Dawn Fades, so for that reason I’d really like T? to cover it. I have no idea what it would sound like ‘Therapised’, which seems like a good enough reason to nominate it. :) So how about it, guys? There, I’ve asked nicely (as nicely as I know how…).

having been a bass player for many years, i’m going to have to tell you that you’re not exactly right with most of your points there. i’ll leave it at that though, rather than make it look like i’m flaming you ;)

At the risk of standing nearby with lighterfluid, trying not to look conspicuous, I’m also interested what you disagree about. Tatty is essentially right. Though it is the bass that is active, the active circuitry makes the sound more dynamic. Using more than one amp also makes the sound more dynamic. So, in that sense, using two amps does make the sound more ‘active’. This is particularly true when you dial different frequencies into each amp.
I’m not saying that it’s instantly better or anything, though, and I’m not saying anything about Michael’s tone in particular.

The match has flared, do you want to be the one to blow it out? :D
