Low expectation was definitely a factor the first time I watched it. Mind you, after enjoying it the first time, I fully expected to hate it on a second viewing, so maybe expectations played a part there, too? Hehe.

Yeah, the alternative cut is not even technically the director’s cut. Definitely a much better version, though.

I have to put my hand up and say that I actually quite like AvP2. Not a patch on the originals, of course, but so much better than avP1.
Talking of which, I’m also really looking forward to the new AvP game (from the makers of the origanal game; it’s not based on the films at all).
