Re: Albums to look forward to in Other Bands & Artists
I’m really looking forward to the new Buzzcocks album “Flat Pack Philosophy” out in March.
The lead track is available for download at their My Space page - sounds fantastic :) !
Hope the tour is great, too!

Re: Doctor Who in Chit-Chat
I thought the basic premise of the story was great - (from memory) a guy who actually owned the internet and had an alien museum under Salt Lake City, and whose prize artefact was a Dalek.
But after the first ten minutes the whole thing seemed to fall flat. The museum owner turned from a bloke with no scruples into being a complete wimp.
Oh yes, and the Dalek voice was crap…
One of the old Doctor Who Dalek stories “Revelation of the Daleks” is out later in the year - a much better, very dark tale (even though Alexi Sayle is in it!)

Re: Doctor Who in Chit-Chat
I think the new series has been a bit hit and miss so far.
I thought episodes 2 & 3 and last weeks were pretty good, but the rest have been a bit disappointing.
“Dalek” was a letdown after all the hype and I felt a missed opportunity to do a lot more with the Dalek concept.
Still, 8 (I think!) episodes to go!

Re: 3 Colours Red on Radio 6 in Other Bands & Artists
Yeah, Pete did sound a bit mellow…;)
I thought the interview was generally ok, but did wonder what the fuck Brucie was going on about for so long - he sure went on…and on…!
I liked the “Union of Souls” track, but am still not sure about “The World is Yours”.
I listened to the show through the satellite tv so I could record it on video tape and replay it (haven’t worked out how to record shows off the net yet - anyone know how?).
“Repeat 2 Fade” was great as always (but did he mean to play that one?!), and I did like “Made in Indonesia” which seemed to have the old 3CR sound.
I’ll certainly get the album when it comes out in July, and catch some of the tour dates.

Re: New Manics Album Information in Other Bands & Artists
Yeah, thanks for the info!
I’ve started listening to the MSP again recently after having gone cool on them for a few years.
I can remember buying The Holy Bible when it came out and playing it to death - fantastic album. A special edition release would be great.
I saw the band for the first time (and Richey for the first & only time) on the HB tour. That was one great gig :)

Re: 3 Colours Red on Radio 6 in Other Bands & Artists
I’ve had a search around the net and have come across a tracklist for the new album “The Union of Souls”: -
1. The Union of Souls
2. Repeat to Fade
3. The World is Yours
4. Desensitise
5. Counterfeit Jesus
6. Ceasefire
7. Made in Indonesia
8. Land of Debris
9. FCKU
10. Lullaby
I think the new single “The World is Yours” is backed by live tracks.

3 Colours Red on Radio 6 in Other Bands & Artists
Title: 3 Colours Red on Radio 6
As the official band messageboard still seems to be down and I know 3CR fans frequent this site, I thought I’d post this info here!
From the Mighty Atom Records website: -
“3CR are being interviewed on the Bruce Dickenson show on Radio 6 this Saturday (29th May) at 11pm and will be playing new tracks from the new album.”
Can’t wait for the new single “The World is Yours” out on June 7th, and the forthcoming July tour.
The video is listed on Scuzz TV, but I haven’t seen it played yet. Has anyone caught it?

Re: Snooker in Chit-Chat
I haven’t really followed all the matches in Sheffield, but have caught most of the final.
O’Sullivan vs Dott has been pretty good so far, but I think Ronnie (cocky bastard) is about to blow Dottie away…
Shame really, as I’d like the underdog to win.

Re: Therapy? in Nottingham in Therapy? Live
Anyone on the board make the Nottingham gig last night?
It was pretty full so I guess there must have been a few of you there :D !
I had a great night. Missed The Glitterati so don’t know what they were like, but Therapy came on at about 8.15 and then it was full-on rock until 11 :) !
I can’t remember all the songs T? played, but was really pleased & surprised how tight & powerful they were having gone back to being a 3-piece. And they looked like they were having fun too. I think we had: -
Knives
Screamager
Teethgrinder
Hey Satan You Rock
(New Song?)
Stop It You’re Killing Me
Rust
Nowhere
Isolation
Dancin With Manson
+ Maybe a few more!
And The Wildhearts were good! Never been a huge fan (although can’t say I’ve heard much of their stuff) but will now have to catch up with some of their records.
Like Therapy, they really went for it last night!
Can’t wait for the next tour, with Therapy headlining next time!

New Therapy Tour Merch? in General Therapy? Topics
Title: New Therapy Tour Merch?
I’m really looking forward to seeing Therapy? later this month (am counting down the days…), and was wondering if there will be any new merchandise on sale at the gigs?
I would really like to pick up a Therapy? (medium fit) t-shirt.
All the Ts available from the web site seem to be fat-bastard-size only ;) ?!

Re: Drive Like You Stole It in Other Bands & Artists
Hi Simon,
I’ve downloaded the songs from the DLYSI web site.
Great stuff!
Am now going to see you support Jetplane Landing at Nottingham Rock City in May.
Good luck with the new album :) !

Re: Therapy? in Nottingham in Therapy? Live
It’s a good job I’m now taking a friend (a Wildhearts fan) with me on the night!
So at least we’ll have each other to talk to, and rounds of drinks will still be possible :p !
Hope you enjoy the Wolvo & Hammersmith gigs, TD.

Re: Therapy? in Nottingham in Therapy? Live
What, no Therapy fans going?!
Looks like it will be a quiet night :D !
Hope there will be some Glitterati & Wildhearts fans to keep me company…
Anyone see The Glitterati on “Carling Live Presents The New Kings Of Rock n’Roll” on C4 last night?
I thought they were pretty good.
The other shows featuring other bands are on tonight, tomorrow, and next Friday-Sunday nights.

Nice to “meet” you!

Anyone else going down to see Therapy?, The Wildhearts & The Glitterati at Rock City in April :) ?
I can’t wait!
I’m in serious need of a night of full-on live music :D

Re: Doctor Who in Chit-Chat
Yeah! Someone else on the board with the same great taste in tv as myself ;) !
I think Christopher Eccleston is a good choice, too.
I watched & enjoyed the DVD of “28 Days Later” last night, and he was in that.
He seems to have real on-screen presence which will be good for The Doctor.

Re: Sacked in Chit-Chat
Well, I’m staying as positive as I can be about it :)
Around 20 other people were laid-off (not sacked or is that splitting hairs?) at the same time as me, and it wasn’t down to something I’d done (or hadn’t done!).
At least the 3 years meant something to me if not the company… I think I did ok and can take that away with me.
Oh yeah, in my last post “there” should read “their”.
My spelling is getting terrible these days :D

Re: the wildhearts in Other Bands & Artists
Woah Billie Blue! ‘Can’t let that go unanswered!
God, I have such a passion in loving 3CR!
The first album was great, and so was the second.
Roll on June when album no.3 “The Union of Souls” is out!
3CR - Fucking excellent albums, fucking excellent live!
I rest my case…

Re: Greetings people in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Really sorry to hear about all the losses, folks…
Hi to Sophie!
No, 30 isn’t old!
Its a cliche, but you are only as old as you feel!
You can tell that at gigs when you see the “older” punks having a great time as if they were teenagers!
Good music = young at heart :) !
Keep On Rockin’!

Re: The new Ash single in Other Bands & Artists
I like the new single :)
Wouldn’t say it is too “heavy” as the media are making out though, but maybe more than anything on “Free All Angels”.
Think I will buy the new album when it comes out.

Re: Sacked in Chit-Chat
Lost my job on Tuesday morning - 3 years of hard graft counted for sweet FA (as per normal…).
In at 9 o’clock, desk cleared & back home by 10!
There fucking loss though, not mine!
There is now a world of opportunity out there… ;)

Yeah, I like “Comfort in Sound” too.
It seems like an album with a lot of feeling (if you see what I mean).

Re: Helloa…! in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
I came across and snapped-up a copy of “Semi-Detached” during my lunch break today. A bargain at £7.00!
Just listening to it now, and think its great.
“High Anxiety” next!
Is “Dancin’ With Manson” a live b-side?

Re: Helloa…! in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Hi! Nice to “meet” you!
I’ve heard plenty of T? stuff in passing since “Troublegum” and liked it, but haven’t actually bought much. I think the last new single I picked up was “Stories”!
It’s a mystery to me why I haven’t kept up with the releases, because I’ve loved every track on the “Scopophobia” DVD which I think covers most if not all albums.
I’m now going to track down all of the back catalogue (and will become one of eBays best customers!).
I think I’ll pick up the latest album first though. From what I’ve heard & read it sounds fantastic.
