my boss has a 14 year old son, and they share the same music passion —> loud guitars, and he is a big Iron maiden fan. If you see a guy that ALWAYS wears a tie (even when he has a day off) and than imagine him at an iron maiden concert :-)

he was an item on the radio in belgium this morning. They said he made girlie singer duffy cry. At some award thing, she wanted to hug him, but he just oushed her away and told her to fuck off, bitch. She was shocked and started to cry

we could have this same conversation about art, or even about wine. like you said: you like what you like, and that should be respected.

I totally agree. Nobody has the right to tell me I have bad taste in music, because I like what I like and I don’t give a rats ass about what others think about that. Just to annoy some people around here a bit more, here’s a list of the bands/entertainers that are suposedly “bad” but whose tunes I like:
My chemical romance (love the pompousness of the songs), Robbie Williams (because he’s pretty :)), Rihanna, panic at the disco
now the bands that I think are shit:
U2, radiohead, Oasis, coldplay, the Stones
:)

Re: greg dulli+mark lanegan=gutter twins in Other Bands & Artists
I’m convinced they will come back, probably a festivalshow, and if not I already offered a location for their revenge gig ;), my garden is quite big, and it has a natural stage :), so it really is the perfect option

Re: greg dulli+mark lanegan=gutter twins in Other Bands & Artists
Dulli was suffering from dehydration and high bloodpresure. You could tell he was not well at all. The songs were too slow, he was sweating a lot more than usual, he was drinking water all the time, and he had a very grey colour. When I saw them in amsterdam i had the same experience as you, they were amazing, but last friday was just bad. But what could you expect when the frontman is strugeling…

Re: greg dulli+mark lanegan=gutter twins in Other Bands & Artists
Believe me Rainer, the show was not good. It wasn’t even comparable to what we saw in amsterdam. I was very dissapointed afterwards, but after reading the blog on their myspace today, i’m surprised he even made it to 9 songs. Thank go, all is fine now.
So I gave your amaretto sugars to a friend. maybe next time :)

Re: greg dulli+mark lanegan=gutter twins in Other Bands & Artists
allroy, you missed something in the melkweg. it was great. Live they sound so much louder than on the record. and lanegan is just funny in his presence :-).
they played nearly the entire album, and some extras from the the twilight singers and mark lanegan band. It was no talk just play, just the way I like it. Dave rosser played some killer solos, and he looked like they nearly killed him. The new drummer was also fabulous. He’s no animal like Bobby was, but he sure can play those drums.
dulli was, as ever, sexy and amazing. He has having fun, you could tell.
now we wait for april 11th.
