Re: photography- help needed in Chit-Chat
how about sarah bettens. She’s the other half of K’s choice, a great belgian band. K’s choice is on hold for the moment, and sarah made her own EP (writing the music and lyrics all by her self, probably on a computer that she could turn on herself). If you haven’t heard her new song “fine” yet, I suggest you go out and buy it because it really is great.
Can we call it a truce, or do you want so more hassling ;)

maybe it’s because we’re women and can get away with that sort of thing :)
you don’t need to push the other one, just ask nicely: do you want a sweet kiss from an ever sweeter girl. if you don’t my masters will punish me. You wouldn’t want that on your conscious, do you. I’m so nice and sweet *puppy eyes*
All I can say is that it worked :)

Re: photography- help needed in Chit-Chat
just an idea: maybe you can sell kisses on the cheek for 50 cents. It’s fairly harmless, even quite qute. we had to do this for our masters during the baptisingdays in university. We made about 10 euro each in half an hour :). Not bad I think. But like I said, just an idea :).

I don’t like cycling much but I really enjoied watching the last race in Paris (my boyfriend made me watch, he promised something good afterwards :-))
I really think Tom Boonen is a great racer. Who agrees with me? And the fact that he’s from the town next to mine helps a bit in liking in him to ;)

Re: Are all T? fans fat bast*#ds? in General Therapy? Topics
I wore the fuck off-T?shirt to school many times. Never got in trouble, seriously. Some teachers even liked it :)
Now I only wear it in the fitnessclub. When a stupid “I’m so gorgious with my supertrendy sneakers and shorts”-girlie is on the tredmill, I will have a nice cycling-trip at the bike just in front of her :p
The girlie-shirt with the shiny haert I have as well. Was one of my favourites for the weekends-night out. Now it doesn’t fit me anymore (that’s why I have to go to the gym :))

and an even funnier story. The store just offered us a financial compensation.

what’s the name of the company and what type of furniture are you selling?
and where exactly is close to the belgian border?

Re: moving in Chit-Chat
just found out that the furniturefactory is closed till mid august . Eating of the floor a bit longer then(since we have no table)
then we have to wait probably an other month before everything is produced.
gf: where do you work? Can you guarantee us a better deliverytime?

Re: moving in Chit-Chat
painting was done in the livingroom and the wallpaper was used in the bedrooms.
painting first and then putting up wallpaper doesn’t make sense, that’s true, but when we were shopping for wallpaper, a lady came to the counter to ask which paint she had to use to put on the wall she wanted the wallpaper on.

moving in Chit-Chat
Title: moving
Last week, my boyfriend and I moved in together. After a lot of painting and putting up wallpaper and other stuf, the apartment was finally ready for the furniture. We called the furniture store where we bought our things THREE months ago, turns out half wasn’t even in their warehouse.
Then they came with the things that were there, they couldn’t get the couch in, because they brought the wrong elevator(after we specifically told them four times it had to go under a carport to reach the back of the building. According to the salesguy there was absolutely no problem with that. Yeah right).
Yesterday second attempt for the couch. We arranged for a different elevator with a different company. The guy there assured us it would be the right elevator to use. Well, not. It couldn’t go under the carport.
Tommorrow, last time we try. I hope it will work out.
Anyone else some “nice” annecdotes of a move, or is it just with us that everything goes wrong.

I couldn’t agree more. REM suck big time. Don’t like the “oooohhh look at me, I’m so special” attitude of Stipe.
But even worse is Live.

Re: cultural differences in Chit-Chat
off course I accept that there are differnces in habits between countries (even inside countries) but I always thought that the general rules for politeness apllied everywhere.
For example:
When you call somenbody, always start with hallo and introducing yourself (then you can start shouting and insulting :))
don’t laugh in peoples faces when they are trying to speak your languages because you’re to ignorant to speak anything else but your mother tongue
don’t start doing something else whilst the other person just had a 367km ride just speak to you for half an hour
Show respect for the other persons thoughts and arguments
shall I go on :).

cultural differences in Chit-Chat
Title: cultural differences
why is it that all my work-contacts in france are so stuck-up? And all the luxemburg ones think that they can have something extra when they shout and insult me.
Do I just have bad luck?
Are there any more cultural differences, maybe behavioural differences is a better word, I need to know about so I can adjust my tactics in negotiating a contract?
Please tell me, because it’s beginning to annoy me
ps: mind you, this is a comment out of frustration, realy not an insult to the french or luxemburgers. We belgians probably have a same typical behaviour (I would also like to know that one).

Re: echo and the therapy? in General Therapy? Topics
if I remeber correctly, I once heard andy say in an interview (maybe it was an article, can’t remeber) that he used to listen a lot to echo and the bunnyman and joy division and stuff like that. So maybe not a coincidence the songs are alike.
