Cuz I’m like errr… old n stuff, and have spent most of my life listening to rock, metal and other weird stuff, my memory is what it used to be… and sometimes I think that my brain has actually made memories up… I know for a fact my mate’s lad makes stuff up all the time. never harmful, but you just know it’s total rubbish…

Where was I? Oh yes … weird band names…

I remember a band back in the late 1970s when punk was big. They were called “Valerie Vomit and the Amputated Legs”

Well I think that band existed… Maybe they were just a very small time band in the Birmingham area I’m not sure… But what a crap/great/bonkers name eh… :-)

OK so Vol 4 by Sabs… Have any of you lot got the original vinyl release of this epic album?

I don’t want to buy it (I’ve got it on CD and tape and re-released vinyl etc) but I’d like to know what’s written on the spine of the original vinyl release.

Does it say …

“Vol 4”

or

“Black Sabbath Vol 4”

or anything else…

Bit of an argument on wikipedia going on at the moment you see… ho hum.

I was being dim.
I was looking at the “All Categories” section of the threads, so all the various sections (chit chat etc) were all jumbled up.
I’ve managed to work out I needed to hit the “All Categories” button so I can view each section.
God I’m thick!

My initial visit to the meassage boards after your upgrade did take me to “All Categories” as default though which is why I got confused.

You’re correct. Bruce had a show on BBC6 a few years ago when High Anxiety came out and Andy was a guest. I won a signed CD too!!

I saw it last night. Big fan of Seinfeld and I’m watching the re-runs on Paramount2.
So Kramer and Nueman(sp?) go into a record store to sell some old LP’s they’ve gotten and on the shop wall is a giant Nurse poster.

I’ve heard Metallica mentioned in the show before as well. Someone on that show is a rock fan.

The only reason I scraped the moss off my drive is so I can get up it. My drive is that steep the wet moss makes it like a slide. Not good. I filled a dustbin with the stuff. That moss will now reappear as compost somewhere. I recycled! :)
Then I played with my new Gameboy. I need to grow up. ;)

So far today I have been scraping moss off my drive. Such fun. ;)

Only had a couple of listens so far, but I’m pretty impressed.

At least Therapy have never released an album with a cover as bad as Sabbath.
WTF is Paranoid? Even if the album had been called War Pigs (as it was supposed to be) it would have been a crap cover.

One of the funniest comedians ever IMO.
You have to see an entire show though. If you just watch a bunch of clips then he comes across like a lot of comedians (not that funny). You have to see a complete show.

Yeah. I saw that video the other day and I thought either my TV was on the blink or time had slowed down strangely. I was so confused I had to go and do the housework.
