SHAMELESS - 6
NANE - 5
OCFA - 4
NURSE - 3

Re: Troublegum wins Guardian award for worst album covers in General Therapy? Topics

And I thought the guy on the Troublegum cover was spewing on a copy of the Grauniad that was already in the dustbin.

I stand to be corrected on this but didn’t Bruce have some sort of radio programme where he invited Andy as a guest occasionally ?

You’re correct. Bruce had a show on BBC6 a few years ago when High Anxiety came out and Andy was a guest. I won a signed CD too!!

Re: Weirdest place you’ve found something Therapy? in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Nurse poster on Seinfeld show (merged)

I saw it last night. Big fan of Seinfeld and I’m watching the re-runs on Paramount2.
So Kramer and Nueman(sp?) go into a record store to sell some old LP’s they’ve gotten and on the shop wall is a giant Nurse poster.

I’ve heard Metallica mentioned in the show before as well. Someone on that show is a rock fan.

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

Only had a couple of listens so far, but I’m pretty impressed.
Our White Noise stands out for me so far, and I detect a more sabbathy feel in some tracks. Maybe its just me eh?

Re: Fave LP Cover ? in General Therapy? Topics

SPYF

At least Therapy have never released an album with a cover as bad as Sabbath.
WTF is Paranoid? Even if the album had been called War Pigs (as it was supposed to be) it would have been a crap cover.

Re: Little Tongues First in General Therapy? Topics

Yeah. I saw that video the other day and I thought either my TV was on the blink or time had slowed down strangely. I was so confused I had to go and do the housework.

I’m missing all the good stuff on Scuzz. All I see is The Samey American High School Band :(

Re: Poll of the best Therapy? albums. in General Therapy? Topics

I go with Suicide Pact. It’s been a favourite since it came out, although it only just shades out the brilliance of Troublegum, NANE … and Semi Detached is a stormer…

They’re all good and it’s a hard pick either way.

Re: Best album cover in General Therapy? Topics

I voted for SPYF. My fave album AND best cover although it’s a tough call on either subject.

At least T? haven’t done a crap album or even cover yet.

unlike this pile o’ crap by a great band..

Re: bands like therapy? in General Therapy? Topics

No-one really sounds like T? but I always think of The Almighty when I hear some T? licks and vice-versa.

Jonestown Mind by The Almighty has a very T? ring to it I think. And Mr C himself is on that track… :D

Re: Scopophobia (DVD & CD Collector’s Edition) in General Therapy? Topics

Well said Dennis.
I think that one of the reasons a lot of illegal downloading of stuff off the internet goes on is because the record companies pull stupid tricks like this.

I’ll state here and now (not that anybody cares) that this is a rip-off. Here’s why… We’re being penalised for being loyal fans. I’ve bought a few cd’s within days of release, only to find it re-released with extra stuff on later. The Stereophonics album JEEP was the last time.
We buy stuff as soon as it comes out, then a few months later someone strolls into HMV and gets bonus stuff for being a “casual” fan. Not that I dislike casual fans, but this stuff burns me up. It’s effin wrong.

Re: NANE - Best T? album by a mile! in General Therapy? Topics

NANE is growing on me a lot.
Great sound.
Great tunes.

As with nearly every other T? album it’s got it’s own sound, and is something that will get played a lot. :D

Re: I can hear that “St. Anger” influence in the new album… in General Therapy? Topics

If anything…the drum sound on StAnger is copied from Troublegum. That “pingy” style. So T? got there first and did it better. :)

Re: NANE - Best T? album by a mile! in General Therapy? Topics

Only had 1 listen so far (bought it today) and it’s certainly a different album to the last few. Early Therapy sounds in there. I need to listen again, but I’m not dissappointed. Will it replace SP-YF as my fave album? Dunno about that.

One thing I LOVE is the sound of Andy’s guitar. Particularly on perish the Thought during the verse bits. Fantastic. And the overdubs in that track are superb.

:D

Re: Martin leaves Therapy? a 3 piece in General Therapy? Topics

Am I out of touch or what!! Don’t log on to the internet for a few weeks and look what happens.

What a shock. :(

Thanks for all the happy times Martin. Miss you up there with the rest of T?
Good luck for the future.

Re: Martin is here in General Therapy? Topics

I was at Wolves last night and some of us shouted out, “Where’s Martin?!!”. Michael shouted back, “Martin’s had a bizarre gardening accident.” My mate turns to me and says, “There’s been a bust up. Michael’s got a bandage on his right arm. They’ve had a fight”. “No way,” I say.

Hope your ear gets better soon Martin. Missed you up there last night.

Re: The DVD is great! in General Therapy? Topics

I think my PS2 must be a bit knackered then. games work fine on it.
Not a problem anyway cuz I got a DVD player now.

Re: The DVD is great! in General Therapy? Topics

Hi Phantom.

Well, now I’ve got this PC of mine finally fixed, I’ll be able to check in a lot more.

By the way everyone, my copy of Scopophobia wouldn’t play on a PlayStation 2.
Works fine on a proper DVD player though.
Anyone else had this?

Internet cafe. In this town? I wish. There’s a library, but I think they ran out of coal last week. ;)
I’ve got my PC at home fixed now, so hopefully I should be OK.

Cheers hooch.

Re: The DVD is great! in General Therapy? Topics

Hi gang.

Just checking in. Are you all behaving? Good.

Bought my copy of Scopophobia the other day, and I must say that it’s the best DVD I’ve got.
It’s what a DVD should be. Extras. Videos. There’s even a booklet with some splurge in it.
Most DVD’s I’ve got don’t have a booklet or anything. Just a box. Then the disc has just got the gig and that’s it.

Thanks Eagle. Well done.

It will keep me busy while I’ve got nothing to do all day. :)
