Re: Guitar in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
Glad to see “other make” doing so well.
A guitar is all about..
a) choice of wood
b) craftsmanship and finish
c) quality of build and parts
d) design
The name on the headstock shouldn’t be as important as it seems to be.

Re: Fyfe’s drum sound on Nurse in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
“Do you mean the actual snare sound, or that drum he uses that “kinda” sounds like a snare? i.e. the one used on Teethgrinder, Hypermania etc… ”
That’s the one. So it’s a regular tom-tom which he uses as a snare eh?

Fyfe’s drum sound on Nurse in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
Title: Fyfe’s drum sound on Nurse
How did Fyfe get that snare drum sound in particular on the Nurse album?
Any drummers out there know?
The drummer in my band was asking.

Re: Guitars in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
messiah,
I’m certainly not taken in by named equipment.
In actual fact ‘brands’ piss me off to some extent.
The name does help when it comes to
quality in some (maybe most) cases, but not always. I agree that.
My Bass is Fender. Best that I’ve tried and the most important
piece of kit.
My amp is home made. It sounds good to me.
My cab is Trace Elliot, which I got from a mate rather
than search out the name itself. It could have been anything
at this stage.
