Re: General Happy Birthday Topic! in Chit-Chat
Cheers guys.
The only reason I scraped the moss off my drive is so I can get up it. My drive is that steep the wet moss makes it like a slide. Not good. I filled a dustbin with the stuff. That moss will now reappear as compost somewhere. I recycled! :)
Then I played with my new Gameboy. I need to grow up. ;)

i just presumed (wrongly obviously) that the taste of meat wouldn’t be appealing to people who don’t eat meat..
My mate’s dad just can’t stand the texture of meat.
I love it though. Except lamb. That sucks.

If you think riding a bicycle is bad for your health, just wait until you try a motorcycle. I’m sure those fuckers are out to kill me sometimes.

Re: Renew For Freedom - RE: ID Cards in Chit-Chat
Scary thing about all this is that various government departments have got my NI number wrong over the years. More than once.
What happens if they get my ID card details wrong?
Bunch of nobs.

Re: Bill Hicks in Chit-Chat
One of the funniest comedians ever IMO.
You have to see an entire show though. If you just watch a bunch of clips then he comes across like a lot of comedians (not that funny). You have to see a complete show.

Re: What’s the most stupid item you ever saw for sale on ebay? in Chit-Chat
There was some person selling plastic bags of air a while ago. Apparently it was air from a hurricane that swept through the US.
Then there was the guy who sold an air guitar.
Then the humanoid who sold $1.27.
I think he got $1.32 for it.
Sheesh.

Well, it took a long time to get there but I saw it tonight and I liked it. Agreed it wasn’t as laugh out loud as the book (or game) but it had it’s moments.
I’m actually only posting this because I want some kind soul to find me a copy of the dophin song and I’m rubbish at all this torrenty business. Anyone? :D
Are the book extracts in the film that Peter Jones used to do?
Or have they missed those out too.

Re: Like rats in Chit-Chat
Backing up my theory that some people shouldn’t be allowed to have children is the following tale…
I used to live at the top of a steep hill. Walking down it one morning to the local shop I came upon a woman and her child who was about 2 years old who were also walking down the hill. The woman shouted back to her daughter, “Hurry up or we will be late!” Her daughter hurried up…and promptly fell over.
The mother went to her, picked her up , smacked her, then said, “Be careful! Don’t run!” The child slowed down. You can guess what happened next. The mother shouts, “Hurry up or we will be late!” And so on…This went on at least 3 more times. The child falling over and crying each time. I was so angry, but I didn’t get involved because the mother looked a nasty piece of work. I wish I had now.
Some people are scum.

Re: Working on Sundays in Chit-Chat
It’s just another day. I used to work every other Sunday for the same rate of pay as the rest of the week. It was no big deal. It meant I had days off in the week when I could go do other stuff.

I hate them too.
I cannot belive that people have got such empty shallow lives that they need to have a “fancy” ring tone on their moby.
As the old saying goes…”get a life!!”

Re: I’m just a poor little DJ… in Chit-Chat
I filled in the DJ slot at a party over 20 years ago. I played as wide a variety of music as the host had which was quite limited. Marc Bolan, Purple, Abba, nothing too heavy which was a pity, but I just thought I’d help out.
So I put on a Shakin’ Stevens single…he was pretty big back then…and this twat comes over and says something like “What’s this crap. Put some decent music on!” I says, “I wish I could, but this is it mate. If it was up to me we’d have wall to wall Sabbath, Priest, AC/DC and Budgie. But this is all there is.”
He wasn’t impressed and promptly tipped a pint of beer over the turntable. A huge fight ensued and he got a good punch or 2 in his face which was good.
Moral of this story? Don’t DJ.

Re: Hitler was a tax dodger!!! in Chit-Chat
Even more worrying than the actual things Hitler was responsible for like killing millions of people and laying most of Europe to waste (which is bad enough) is the fact that he was probably the first and only politician to actually do the things he said he would when he rose to power.
If you think about it that’s pretty scary.
