Though I still can’t even see the connection (cos surely there must be one, no matter how tentative) between the old and new R&B.

If you look at how Metal has changed over 30 years from Sabbath to Slipknow (ugh) you can see a flow of development and a connection. I really can’t see this R&B connection at all. The record labels who dreamed up this pigeonhole must be deaf or something.

I want a rant !!
I am fed up with all the bootlicking that’s going on in Britain at “our queen” having “reigned over us” for 50 years.
I don’t care!
I don’t want a Royal family.
I don’t want them as our Head of State.
I want to elect someone.
I hate the toadying masses that infest this country and keep us in the 18th Century.
Can’t they live their lives without having the royals to look up to?

I only really dislike Bowels of Love.
There are 1 or 2 others on the Babyteeth and Pleasure Death releases that aren’t that good, but I think that’s mainly down to production, and some of those early tracks sound a bit muddy.

I think there’s a link between what SOME people see (on TV, in mags etc) and what they do. Advertising proves this.
I play video games and have never wanted to go and kill.
I might see some arse in the street and feel like hurting them (but don’t). TV hasn’t made me do it I don’t think (but how do I know it hasn’t).

I think that out of 100,000 people who play a violent game, 1 person might be affected. Would something else have triggered them off anyway. I think so too. Providing games are rated for certain age groups, I think the current laws in the UK (I don’t know about the rest of the world) are pretty much OK. Providing they’re enforced.

Ban all guns though. Everywhere. For all countries, armies whatever.
Something to aim for.

Haven’t seen or read much about this in the British press or TV etc, but I reckon that 1 sure fire way to get people interested in someone whether they are a politician or musician, is for them to be either killed (as in this guys case) or kill themselves (Kurt) or die unnaturally young in some way (Cliff Burton, Jimi Hendrix).

I don’t know this guy’s policies, so until I find out I won’t comment.

One thing I do know is that what people say about someone…and what that person actually is, are 2 different thing sometimes.
