Re: Islington Academy 25/05/06: who’s going??? in Therapy? Live

They did play neckfreak, and someone got it wrong when they said isolation, im glad they didnt play that.

And i liked the fact that they played some of the old songs in the lower tuning, like accelerator, stories, potatoe junkie.

Was a fucking great gig, i wasnt too sure but once accelrator kicked in i jumped in that pit and didnt look back

You talking about the artwork?

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

Definatelly takes more than one listen to get used to it. I was listening to it on the ipod yesterday and i found it a lot more listenable that way than on the stereo

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

not getting the troublegum/semidetatched comparisons, its just the natrual progression from nane, which was a natrual progression from high anxiety.

Best song is sprung, would like to see them actually try varietys of tuning on the next album rather than it all just being c tuning, there kinda getting trapped in a sound, no complaints about the album by the way, just think t? have always been good due to their variety.

Re: Worst t? album in General Therapy? Topics

im not voting but id say nurse as its too slow, the songs are fine live but on cd are a bit of a drag.

But i never quiet get the shameless bashing. Did any of you see t? on the shameless tour, it was the best gig ever.

and i am the money is the most catchy song of all time.

leave shameless alone, in fact what a shitty thread that ppl would try to find flaw in the best band of all time

Re: Worst Song in General Therapy? Topics

Voodoo doll just makes me think of a winey cuntish band like busted or something. Even T? dont like the song anymore.

Fall out boy must die a horific death involving a final destination type accident with broken guitar pieces and a nasty mishap with an e string being used to test for clamidia (excuse the spelling)

Re: Therapy? Bloopers…!! in General Therapy? Topics

In regards to the t? album, which i have downloaded but only cos i have on preorder, i have my laptop through my stereo and quiet frankly the difference wont be great, but im not complaining about it.

I just think the vocals are a lot more spacey than what we are used to, anyone whos got the download single should agree.

Basically, its a grower.

Also, not so much a blooper but andy practically wetting himself with laughter at a barfly gig with michaels inception of the radio gaga clap to rust, think that was the first time they did it.

Re: Therapy? Frustration And The American Fans in General Therapy? Topics

Jesus christ what a bunch of ignorant cunts ther are on this site.

I know its many a page back, but the ignorant shit who refuses to import records from england because it will cost more?

Surely if people were importing from america, the record companies would see that there is a market for t? and worthwhiledistributing it stateside.

And i just read another thing about someone only making $22k a year and having to worry where the money is coming from, i make less than that in uk money and i still make the effort if i need to.

A band needs money to tour a country, and for all th complaining people have done in this thread about spending money, the boys have had to use tons of their own money to pay for road crew and the like because of shit record company support.

Re: SAMPLES in Therapy? songs… in General Therapy? Topics

I think a lot of the trouble with samples is the money needed to clear them.

Re: Rain Hits Concrete - Opinions? in General Therapy? Topics

Play ons an all round different type of song for t? i think.

Re: Babyteeth cd (rare?) in General Therapy? Topics

Nurse isnt exceptionally rare, probably wouldnt be a big virgin store seller.

The singles are probably more rare than any of the normal print albums.

Re: Worst Song in General Therapy? Topics

Voodoo doll, big fat pile of winey sounding shit.

Absolutely despise that waste of a song, its not even my worst T? song, its just a really badsong.

All other t? songs are fine in comparison.

I just have to patiently wait for the cd and art work and all now to match it to the music.

Re: Album download in General Therapy? Topics

Just wondering what people thought of it if they had downloaded it, moody.

I was still in the middle of it but now i finally got it and its goood, its very gooood.

The vocals are very spacey.

Still need to have a proper listen to it but after a quick flick through, its good.

Think im loving sprung the most at the moment, thats the most kick off song. I may change my mind later.

Re: Album download in General Therapy? Topics

I just didnt want one of those “you not buying the album is destroying the band” kinda backlashes.

I wish people would outright download and in result bankrupt all pop music, especially reality tv cunt stars.

I mean who really buys that shit.

Surely there must be intense shame when approaching a counter with x factor runners up and the like

Re: Kerrang April 15 in General Therapy? Topics

exactly.

Its a shame but what can you do, they are luckily there fanbase is strong enough that they havent had to dissapear into obscurity like say, my vitriol.

I know they played a gig a year or two ago but nothings happened since. Anyone remember the band cay?

They were really good but they got dumped by there record label and were never heard from since.

Therapy are still here, and thats something to be grateful for.

Re: Contradiction in T? lyrics? in General Therapy? Topics

He’s getting older, and facing mortality.

That and the lyrics sound clever

Re: Kerrang April 15 in General Therapy? Topics

They have given all their albums good reviews to be fair, although in some cases they turn coat later.

Like shameless, got blinding reviews when it came out but they slag it off now.

High anxiety did well and so did nane, it would be nice to see them in more music mags all round, gettingthe respect they are fully due, not just in kerrang, cos lets face it, if they got a bad review, no t? fan would read that and think im not buying it then, they would say what do kerrang no and buy it anyway.

i know i would.

I never buy stuff based on reviews

Re: cd singles in General Therapy? Topics

yeah, but the way cheers was done was original, notlike american punk bands who just do songs really speeded up, and also throwing the taxi theme tune in as well, and it became a live favourite.

My points have been its been ages since therapy brought productive bsides like evil elvis or summer of hate.

There have been re-recordings, double a-sides and live stuff.

The new single has good bsides.

Re: Kerrang April 15 in General Therapy? Topics

That is a good thing, no denying that, but it would be nice if T? were regular features rather than al the hype bands.

I remember when staind were a regular hype, and on the front cover it was all dramatic.

“Golf saved our lives”

the article, we were a bit stressed and played some golf and now we feel a bit better.

Re: Kerrang April 15 in General Therapy? Topics

Additional

Any “rock” magazine that actually accepts fightstar as a real band has no credibility in my eyes, there no better than nme

Posted on Fri, 14 April 2006 at 11:33

Re: Kerrang April 15 in General Therapy? Topics

Considering kerrang are owned by smash hits its safe to assume they are outright shit.

They are no better than all the pop magazines, rating trite new shite emo bands as great and normally forgetting about all the decent bands.

Re: cd singles in General Therapy? Topics

I think as they dont have to spend money on printing cds and artwork they should get a lot more money.

Re: cd singles in General Therapy? Topics

Would have loved to see them the first time around, but made up by seeing them just about everytime they played london after that, the square gig topped them all though. I had to beg for everlone, my mate got suckerpunch for his birthday, they did splattermania and news of the world.

They had about 5 set songs, everything else was request.

Re: cd singles in General Therapy? Topics

Yep, i was there, it was like a little slice of heaven. My 2 fave bands under one roof.
Therapy? opening with meat abstract, ending with hey satan you rock which i thought would be one of those songs they dumped when they got shot of martin, then the mighty wildhearts come on.

Was impressive b-side night, girlfriend clothes, dangerlust, ocd, cheers, beautiful thing you.

I saw the wildheart at the harlow square if you ever heard of it, that was the best gig ever, such a great in such a tiny venue, and most songs available on request.

Posted on Wed, 12 April 2006 at 12:40

Re: cd singles in General Therapy? Topics

well obviously we do.

I rate them equally, the point being made here was that the wildhearts are a lot better at supplying top quality bsides where as in recent years therapy have been more palming us off with crappy live stuff or double a sides.

You cant compare the 2 bands musically because they are way too different genre wise, which is strange as the 2 bands do share mostly the same fanbase

Posted on Wed, 12 April 2006 at 12:16

Re: cd singles in General Therapy? Topics

yeah there quality, shame you cant get that quality anymore.

Favourite wildhearts b-side, probably girlfriend clothes, they played that on the T?/Hearts tour, and i ejaculated, metaphorically you understand.

out of the newer b-sides, its got to be OCD

Posted on Wed, 12 April 2006 at 12:00

Re: cd singles in General Therapy? Topics

exactly, i mean the of therapy albums are great, cantknock it, but the singles of recent times arent worth it.

Someone here did ask how many people buy singles and there right, i never buy them, i was getting al the wildhearts ones that they released, and i try and get old therapy ones every so often, but nothingt else interests me.

When i buy a single, i want recorded b-sides, not album knockoffs, thats why i actually got rain hits concrete.

Either that or i dont want live versions of songs and another song thats already on the album i bought.

The only exception that could be made would be the almightys just add life singles era where all the live songs made up a whole gig, combined with the tour edition album.
