ps. if u were near the fornt i may have cuaght u on camera as i tried waving round the crowd! nice
Definitly a great show… I thought Lagan Live was better, but then I wasn’t working before that one, and I wasn’t forced to suffer through The Thrills this time (which obviously would have made T? incredible by comparison). And I didn’t have a heavy fucking jacket on, which I left with a friend’s jacket so as I didn’t get incredibly hot during the gig… that was about 6.30pm. Later, I’m sstanding in the crowd after the raffle and my same friend BRINGS my jacket to me, saying it’ll avoid the rush after the show. Grr… tied it round my waist and it ended up round my ankles, which isn’t great in a pit.

I had that for 4 straight days after Misfits.

By the way, what did they play after Potato Junkie?
Cx
Technically nothing… but they played Femtex and a little bit of a Kyuss song, I’m told (something off Wretch), in the middle of it.
Anyone got their hearing back yet?

8 o clock sounds like a fairly decent time to enter. I wouldnt fancy standing about in the S&A from 3 in the afternoon. Maybe come in at 6 at the earliest.
Do what I did at the Aid For Asia gig- start off with a double Absynthe on the rocks, and let the night progress from there.

So, I have a chance of getting in?
Search ‘Novely ID’ on the net. If you have a valid ticket, they will WANT to let you in. Although, posting your picture online and then saying you’re 14 wasn’t, strictly speaking, tactical

Ah, right. That’s why it’s the S and A, then. They’ll open up the SA, Limelight and Katy Daly’s all day with bands playing in different venues, like the Aid for Asia day they had.

Re: Therapy? | Belfast | June 4/06 in Therapy? Live
But the Spring and Airbrake? C’mon. Mandella’s the best venue in Belfast. Spring’s not bad (better than the Limlight) but Mandella’s so much better. Better sound, far bigger and no fucking big dirty pole in the middle of the mosh pit!

Pity it’s not the mandella, though.

Re: Funniest onstage quote/rant in Therapy? Live
Andy-
‘Have you ever been to Belfast zoo?’
‘Have you ever been to Belfast zoo tripping on acid and gone to see the polar bears?’
‘Have you ever put the acid into the polar bear’s drinking water?’
‘Don’t look at at me…’
Kicks into Polar Bear.

Wow… Corrigan are one of my favourite bands, and I would have missed that! Not to mention T?, my joint favourite band of all time. I’ll fuckin’ be there! Thanks for drawing my attention.

…I love it when people vote ‘I don’t care in polls’ …if you don’t care- DON’T VOTE! Especially whe it’s a phone-in one, and they atually have to pay to tell people that they don’t really mind one eway or the other…

Ah, yes. Mr. Cooper, how could I forget?

Re: Belfast gig on 28th May in Therapy? Live
Definitly a great laugh. Laya were background music, really. I liked The Revs… not the ‘The’ band I was expecting. The Undertones were a lot of fun, had a great time when they were on. When Teenage Kicks came in, it was awesome. Lots of jumping, a little bit of moshing.
The Thrills were ironicly unthrilling. I was bored senseless with 2 friends, who were at the time talking to some girls. I sat patiently waiting for an end to this tedium. My friend threw a toothbrush a the singer between songs for total randomness, but they didn’t awknoledge it. I thought that at least might have been a laugh, but no such joy. You know that fluff that sometimes forms in the pockets of jeans? That’s better than The Thrills.
But… Therapy?… jesus, it was good. 4th time seeing them, and this was probably the best. The pit was the most intensly fantastic I’d ever been in, so of course the bouncers decided to come stand in the middle of it and ruin it for everyone. They were on top form, truly incredible performers. Some woman was on with them doing 10 year plan… no solo, which is a pity because screwing about vibratoing and sliding all over the fretboard sounds great in that song… ah, well. Utterly fantastic night, maybe over a little too soon, but that’s OK because we went to see Underline straight after, and they are a very impressive band. Great night- sore neck.

My friend Mike ordered tickets for this ages ago (the day they ran out). They said they were gonna post him 4 (for him and friends), but as yet have not. Now THAT sucks.

Re: Support Acts !!! in Therapy? Live
Only abuse you’ll get is pointing out that they weren’t the support band, they were the co-headliners. Besides, they were nowhere near as good for the Dangerfields, and that’s just from that one night.

Re: What guitars has Andy been playing at the gigs? in Therapy? Live
I know the story of 2 of his guitars. The one made by Lector… well, you work it out or look it up. The telecaster he used to play, however…
During the early days, Andy played a Fender telecaster. he also used really heavy stings (as he still does). However, he was tuned to E at the time, putting the guitar under reall stress, and warping the neck. Unplayable.

Re: What guitars has Andy been playing at the gigs? in Therapy? Live
Also, if you’re interested, the les paul shape one is tuned to E, the SG shaped Lector is tuned to C, and the white SG is kept, I think in D (but it could be Dropped D).
