But not idlevice2. That’s just greedy.

I know I haven’t been on in a good while- but wishing the account I never activated a happy birthday over the one I use?

I might just weep. Like a leper.

“Do youz nat have enny RED Bulle?!”

“Yes. Its in the big Red Bull fridge, which has RED BULL written on the sides, roof and front, containing exclusivly Red Bull, situated inches away from where you walked through the door less than twenty seconds ago”

Leigh Francis needs to be hung for crimes against comedy :)

Also, Catherine tate started out great but like all great comedy, the 3rd series was one too many. See also Little Britain.

The office bowed out at the right time.

Aw, Squall; you were so close to being right…

You made only the slight error of implying that Catherine Tate and Little Britain were EVER anything other than worthless tripe not worthy of even idle Primary School playgrounds, feating more or less exclusivly accurate protrayals of their target audiance- mentals, morons and chavs.

Also, Mighty Boosh is brilliant. Its surreality presented in a believable and well-paced format.

Doesn’t REALLY work as well live, though.

what do u play, mate?

Bass- hence it’s the only thing that’s recorded halfway decent. Har har.
I pre-mixed (everything through the desk and into one track on the PC) that using one ear of a £7 pair of Sony headphones, through a Randall guitar amp, while playing it…

I think I did a good job, considering.

Mate if you really want an audio response i will try and sort one out and get it sent to you?

That’d be great… I recorded some birds singing (influence from replies, guys- I’m listening) and reversed it, changed the pitch. Ya know, cool shit. I think I’ll layer it over that.

By the way, if your computer has a sound card (i.e. if you can HEAR things), you have the facility to record audio. Your card will have a ‘mic’ input, at the back of the computer. You can then use the ‘Sound Recorder’ that comes with windows, or any other sound recording software to record the sound.

Oh, I see, haven’t got a mic?

Hmm… well, here’s an interesting fact (BTEC Music Technology, don’t you know?). Microphones and headphones work exactly the same way- they just transfer audio from one place to another (basically), so if you speak into your headphones with the other end in the mic input of your sound card… well, just see what happens.

You can then have endless fun trying to say things backwards and then playing them backwards to see how close you got. Maybe that’s just me…

Re: All you “Silent Hill” lovers… in Chit-Chat

Any analysis of the movie is made up of ‘I think that… I have to imagine here, but… I can assume that’ etc.

Trust me- they didn’t know what they were doing. IT-MAKES-NO-SENSE end of.

I do believe i’ve never said Douglas Adams was over rated, having never read any of his books.

Yeah, I realised a while ago I was thinking of Stanley Kubric… you know best author ever, best director ever. Easily confused. Read ALL of DNA’s books right now though, or may you never sell a book again.

Re: Squall has a new job ! in Chit-Chat

Did you say that Douglas Adams was over-rated one time? (You seem to say that about everything I love :))… of so, you don’t belong in a book shop.

Re: Helping out for a bit of fun? in Chit-Chat

Well, we ARE a stoner-rock band. Errily enough, there is a connection between something else in that comment and how the image was created (and no, it’s not that I was high while making it!).

I can put some of these through one of those ‘you type it, it says it’ kind of deals, or maybe make some more artwork using these posts as wods or something…

Cheers so far, anyway, guys.

Personally, I got AK-47 guns (look closly at the very top) and two capital letter ‘A’s, if you an find them…

Helping out for a bit of fun? in Chit-Chat

Title: Helping out for a bit of fun?

I made a logo thingy for my band, and I think it looks like a Rorschach (or “Ink Blot”) test…

So, tell me; what do you see in this picture?

(by the way, I thought it might be cool to compile these and make an intro to our upcoming-ish EP, so if you could be bothered, I’d love to get your responses as audio files- but by sending them to me, you give me permission to use them free of charge in the manner I mentioned above, so no legal stuff, OK?!)

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this post had a file attachment, which may return in the future)

Re: The Armando Iannucci Shows in Chit-Chat

That would be true- if it were just random lines, it wouldn’t be funny. It’s funny bevause it’s NOT jsut random lines. It’s the timing of the jokes, and the knowledge that someone pulled this sensless insanity (in terms of art direction and plot) that make it funny.

Has anyone ever saw him do stand-up. It is literaly the worst I’ve ever seen, and I have saw HUNDREDS of stand up comics, and I would need to make a whole new league for people to appreciate how bad it was. It would him in that league. And that would be all.
