I’m listening to Rock fm. Rock fm is the ONLY rock radio in Italy, and it’s closing, starting from tomorrow at 6pm they will never broadcast again…
Even Brian May said something about it on his website, after the (funny) video message on youtube by the Djs…

Dinosaur Jr yesterday, at the Academy!
They are great, but I think the sound was crap, too loud! I only heard the “bass” and the guitar, I barely understood that Mascis was singing, and I imagined the sound of the drums by looking at the drummer… :-(

Regina is really rock and roll, the other ones are heavier, but in fact I like all 4 tracks! (maybe my least favourite is Renaissance, even if I like the solo, when there is some wah I always like it!)

About recording the album by themselves, I remember that I read that Michael (or Andy?) was happy when they had someone else doing the job otherwise the mixing becomes a fight among drummer/guitarist/bass player to get the highest possible volume… Did they change their minds?

That’s great!!
My only regret is that I arrived in Dublin in September with the hope to see a concert here, but since I’m going away in June (and they will record the album in this period) I think that I won’t see them live in Ireland… :-(
