They are great, but I think the sound was crap, too loud! I only heard the “bass” and the guitar, I barely understood that Mascis was singing, and I imagined the sound of the drums by looking at the drummer… :-(

In fact I just discovered who R. Dawkins is thanks to Wikipedia, and, as far as what’s written there is correct, I agree with what he says! (moreover, he’s a friend of Douglas Adams, who’s great!!!!!) :-)

For the second, Isaacs is not bad, and one bed in a dorm costs less than 20 euros…

About hotels, I’m not able to tell you anything!

I suggest to go to Whelan’s, in Wexford st (George st becomes Aungier st and then becomes Wexford st). In one section of the pub there are gigs every night (no free entry), in the other section you go for free before 10, music is good and people are friendly!!!

Also Sinei, which is along the Liffey on the north side of the town, is nice, even if the music is not exactly “hard rock”!

I also like Cassidy, near O’connell bridge, there is live music every Friday and Saturday (almost sure)! And food is good!

Just finished Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (brilliant!), a sort of English “American Gods”, and started “The man in the High Castle” by Philip Dick, one of my favourite SF authors!
