Re: sg owners unite! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Re: sg owners unite! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

A couple of years ago I used to want to play only with Les Paul. They’re good ones, look good, sound well obviously. Probably another state of mind. I used to dream to own my own white LP studio. If you knows “Noir Désir”, they’ve ever played with LP. I always thought they sounded hard & pure anyhow. Interest yourself to them.

Re: sg owners unite! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I have a Epiphone SG G-400, waiting for an authentical Gibson, it’s a very good serie of guitare. Mine sounds excellently. It keeps chords very well, and sustain as well. all my regards to Epiphone for their products.

Now what do you reckon is the easiest song to cover and then the hardest…?

easy one - knives
hard one - epilepsy

Have you try to play “30 seconds” ?

Schecter ultra in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Title: Schecter ultra

Did you know that Schecter build a signed guitar ?
It’s a Ultra - The Cure singature model.
I have tried it yesterday with a Peavy in a shop.
I’ll go to try it again. Sensations are good but about sound, I just think I didn’t try it with another amp as Marshall or Fender or Vox.
Ok its look’s good. Ok it’s singular, but about heavy sound, I don’t really sure it’s very exploitable.
(Anyway it’s cool)

I think the guitar for innocent X was put into the 4-track clean and then tweaked with some software… the Lunacy Booth one was DI’d from my Dad’s Marshall 50 watt acoustic amp.

Thanks for the compliaments!

Are you english? Because a few years ago, I used to play with some of my friends. I used to play with a Telecaster and a amp Marshall 8080 valvestate. I used to have a very fucking good sound. Sometimes, we used to use some Boss pedal’s effect. But, all of us come from France and I don’t know why, but even if we used to worded harder our english lyric and above all, the english accent. I always think that we could feel the french accent. Sometimes we exaggerated pronounciation. Even if we used to use a little bit of reverb.
And about you, I think your record sounds well. Your guitar sound is clean. You just ought to work once more the song. Just for posing environment well. But it is already very well. You’ve done it. You had courage to do it and it’s very very cool. Go on. That’s all.
(Working french lyrics as better as possible is very very difficult - just to do something of excellent, brillant. Just to nothing to have to throw, to regret).
It’s a job. It’s a pleasure. It’s cool. What a satisfaction when you end this kind of artistical expression, and you are emptied. ;)

Here’s an acoustic version of Lunacy Booth (an overlooked masterpiece in my opinion) and my own little take on Innocent X…

Well,I think it’s well-maked. Guitar’s sound is not too bad. It’s another ambiance. And Lunacy Booth is a good cover choice.

Re: sg owners unite! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Indeed, I look for my new guitar. I in front of a few choices : a used Fender Telesonic, a SG Gibson & a LP Gibson.
I’ve ever got a Telecaster and I love its sound, with a Marschall amp.
With the same amp the both Gibson interest me a lot.
My feeling is rather LP. Certainly because of its look. Because Gibson sound is really unique.
Indeed, when I play with a Gibson, I think I play better, as well. I feel myself different. I don’t know why. Maybe sound, shape, weight. :p

Title: FRAMUS and WARWICK - Andy & Mickael use with this material

Hi everybody,

While NANE tour, Andy and Mickael used to play with this material.
Andy uses a FRAMUS AK 1974 guitar, combined with FRAMUS amps.
Mickael uses WARWICK amps.

There’s a short article on Framus official website. :)

I’ve got some very good memories with my Telecaster. It was a japan serie, but what a sound…
Now, I’m interested by Gibson Les Paul. I would like to try a Guild and a Gretsch. Somebody knows them ?

The black guitar with a hole inside could be a FRAMUS AK 1974.

Dare in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Title: Dare

woke up on the ground, i’ve thought “the earth is round”
so what about this new day on my way
is there anything new, what are we gonna do ?
woke up in the silence then i’ve heard that song

and a voice said
“this is not a bad joke
this message’s done for you
you’ve got to work hard more
and more
for the holy economic war”.

but it couldn’t be no hallucinations
then i’ve read the story of the new nations
lord it’s just as you please, i get down on my knees
god, it’s wonderful to find the meaning of life

and a voice said
“this is not a bad joke
this message’s done for you
invade the whole world
dont forget the new password
everybody sings you have
no choice in the matter
i’ll become your blessed manager
you’ve got to produce more and more
for the holy economic war”.

business force…
marketing…
careers…
success…

oh holy yeld, oh holy hell

Re: Telecaster in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

i have really not got to try any authentic gibson models, except some LP Epiphone. Here in France, folks prefere Fender or Ibanez, very often. Of course, some people like to play with gibson, i knew a punk local band who’s played with SG Gibson, they were called ‘The Roll Mobb’. But ten years ago, i played with a telecaster japan serie…good memories.

Re: Telecaster in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Thanks for the photo. It’s very cool.
Do you record some demo or songs ?
Could you spend me ones?
Thank you for your comments, I’ve thought tele-sonic is a good guitar model. I put my trust in Fender Telecaster.

Re: Good Therapy? Sound in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

You could try with a fender telecaster Japan serie,
keep your marschall 8080 (second generation’s better)

and : on your marschall, tune Bass on 5 to 7/8, Middle on 6.5/7.5 and high 3.5/4 or 6.5/8.

With the guitar, tune middle microphones.

Forget effect pedals who are not the ones used by Andy.
Forget your Epiphone Rock’n Roll Booggie Choobby Yeah oasis guitar.

I tried with a Boss DS-2 and the sound didn’t push me across my bedroom’s wall.

“Have fun, play louder, stay free.”
