i can hear what you’re saying man… but seriously, you’ve seen t? 12 times and you mind that they played in this 12th concert only post 2003 stuff and their new album in its entirety?
yeah, i would have missed songs like nausea or meat abstract or teethgrinder or sister etc. etc. , but if i was a longtime and dedicated fan like you say you are, i would be more happy with the fact that they played every song off abcol. there’s really no need to make a big fuss over it.
that being said, i agree that probably there should be some changes in the setlist, but still i’m glad they tried to shake things up a bit.

i was listening to ecclesiastes the other day and i was thinking that it’s the first “ballad-type” song they ‘ve done since six mile water, if memory serves me right. do you think they should try it more often?

it’s pretty rad they wont play any songs before 2003, hardcore fans will appreciate it but i’m not so sure about the others :P
it’s a weird setlist though, playing the whole of abcol is fine but why no songs off ocfa? rust and dlamf have been played before a lot too, so i’d rather hear some other songs. and 16 songs-1h20m, that’s pretty short!

i’ve been listening to the album for the past couple of days… and i must say i’m really impressed. i was a bit cautious before listening to it as i feared it would be too “arty” and sound like crooked timber -which i wasn’t very fond of-, but i was sold immediately after the first listen. i’m loving the different feel each track has and how they all fit within the album, plus the fact that the band tries out new sounds and approaches, one thing for sure is that you never get bored with t?
it’s still too early but i think it’s their strongest effort in many many years… very solid album with no filler tracks for me (except maybe for marlow, which still, isn’t bad at all).

i pre-orderded abcol just today and got the mail saying it’s been dispatched a couple of hours later. a bit unfair huh? :P
now let’s see how long it takes to get here, a couple of weeks probably

i’m one of those who will resist listening bits and pieces of the album, i ‘ll just wait for it to arrive with the post… ok i saw the video but i had seen the song played live before so it doesn’t really count … let’s see if i can be patient enough :P

why are you guys saying there will be a cd/dvd release? i can’t see a dvd mentioned anywhere except for here. wishful thinking? :P

hmmmm… so the guys’ profile pic on facebook is going to be the cover of the new album?

oh well, i guess hooch should change the thread title now :P looking forward to hearing new music from the guys, i believe it will be worth the wait!

a forest of stars are very neat too, i’m surprised they’re so low on the bill. should have made their breakthrough already.

it’s a jukebox 7”, i don’t think it’s fake. it has come up a few times before.

on top of that, andy’s written sth like respect to greece on the sleeve :P now perhaps it would make sense for me to get it, but for someone from the uk, or germany or wherever? i wouldn’t pay for it more than half the price i would normally pay for another bad mother, the guy has spoiled it.

yeah an, this is the one i meant. no actual differences there i suppose. so… why don’t you guys open your duo packs so we can find out instead of guessing? :P

ok so first one, i’ve seen 2 so much for… editions, one with the same cover as the 2cd version (the black one), and one “coloured” one. why is that?
and about the high anxiety and one cure fits all “duo pack” version, is there any difference between the cd’s included in the box and the standard versions?

will be there ;) looking forward to hear the new tunes live… and hope the guys will get a chance to play a proper and lengthy set!

i must admit i was somewhat worried when i read that andy was producing the new album. i think it’s better having someone else produce your album because they can offer a different vision.
besides when t? did it on their own (gimme covers, rain hits concrete b-sides) i didn’t like the outcome very much. of course these were probably recorded on a small budget but still…

any chance you might mean me vs you instead of loose? this was played in a different version before infernal love came out

i wasn’t keen on crooked timber, i did like some elements of it but not as a whole, so i hope they’ll keep the good parts and do something better.
