Re: how much money have you spent on t? in General Therapy? Topics

i think i’ve spent about 2000 euros… and i guess only about 10% or maybe less of that money ended on the band.
but i agree with petri, it’s definitely worth it, i only wish the guys would make more money out of it

how much money have you spent on t? in General Therapy? Topics

just wondering. that includes buying records, merchandise, concert tickets, traveling to see them live etc.

Re: infernal love demos in General Therapy? Topics

i emailed him too yesterday and he said they’re not available anymore, so i thought maybe he’d already sold them to someone… otherwise if he didn’t want to sell them in the first place, why would he even mention it?

Re: This new T? album… in General Therapy? Topics

Re: Therapy? Lost Songs - Update in General Therapy? Topics

i thought i had read somewhere (in a interview?) that t? had recorded a totally fucked up song around the nurse era when they were about to be signed by a&m, to test if the record company would interfere with the writing process and tell them what to play. or am i making this up?

Re: new stuff (Clowns Galore) in General Therapy? Topics

it’s a great idea, i think they can build a strong song around it. i’ve had the feeling the new album is going to kick ass, and i guess the guys are in the right direction ;)

Re: NANE - Best T? album by a mile! in General Therapy? Topics

i really love nane, and the fact that it sounds raw from beginning to end. in fact it’s one of my fave t? albums and i was really impressed when i first heard it. that being said, i think some songs had more potential but they can’t stand out with nane’s production, it’s just too flattening.

Er, actually Therapy? were very big in the Troublegum to semi-detatched era

but they were dropped from their major label after releasing semi detached, and i don’t think there was any other major willing to sign them after that, right? and suicide pact was a reaction to all this. suicide pact was quite a shock when i listened it for the first time (and it was the first therapy? album i bought on the day of the release) but i think it’s one of their best, and so do most therapy? fans. if therapy? had tried to do another commercial and radio friendly album back then and it had flopped -which most probably it would- maybe the band would be no more.

Re: Therapy? Lost Songs - Update in General Therapy? Topics

i don’t know if t? have the rights to all these unreleased songs, but if they did it’d be great if they released a compilation themselves and sold it through the site. i’m sure there’s lots of people who’d be interested in buying this, and i guess it wouldn’t cost that much to put all this together. maybe it’s not feasible but still it’d be great to listen all this stuff.

@Trigger - do you mean on CD as opposed to download or in shops as opposed to Amazon/Play etc?

the latter. i know it definitely didn’t get released here, but i was wondering if that was the case everywhere else too. btw some internet shops don’t even offer delivery outside uk!

Re: BBC Sessions - music through a cheap transistor in General Therapy? Topics

just got this off the net. i’m listening to it right now and i must say it’s a great compilation. i hadn’t heard all the songs before, and i like the twists and different versions of them, even better than the original ones! does anyone know if it got released anywhere (except from the internet stores)?

Re: shameless - underrated and ahead of it’s time? in General Therapy? Topics

great post david. i think half of shameless is t? at their best and the other half is pretty mediocre, so i guess this is why so many people understimate it. plus there are so many different styles in there… but i guess this could also be a reason to love it.

Re: Therapy? Q&A August 2007 in General Therapy? Topics

which are the albums that you are most/least proud of and why?

the therapy? sound has gone through many changes and every album is still different to its predecessor (have i spelled that right? :P ). why is that? have you not found a style of music that you’d be happy playing? many people (me included) believe that the 1993-1994 era of the band was the best, because you gained recognition while creating your own distinctive sound. why did you decide to differentiate from that? (now that’s a really big question i suppose :) )

how has the departure of fyfe and martin changed therapy? (musicwise)

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

I think ocfa is one of the best t? albums and definately the best in lots of years. it’s got its own sound like every other t? album and although it doesn’t really have any stand out songs, it’s tight as hell and there is not even one song i want to skip. i like andy’s vocals (which i didn’t in the last couple of albums) and neil’s drumming is the best i’ve heard of him so far, it’s simply great. the production is decent, i think you can hear all the little details that make a song better and that’s important. every song has a bit that i really like and gets me hooked. if i were to describe how this album sounds i’d say it’s a mix of troublegum, semi detached and nane, with some new elements ofcourse.
all in all i wanna say a big thank you to the boys for delivering to us such a great album… i just hope it will get the recognition it deserves, so let’s all help. p.s. i didnt understand why some people in here don’t like it. but i guess these must be the ones who thought shameless and high anxiety were great :P (no offence)
