Q about babyteeth/pleasure death artwork in General Therapy? Topics
Does anyone know where the photo images on the back of Babyteeth and Pleasure Death are taken from? I’m assuming they both are film stills

she says something about wanting to sound like Radiohead or The Strokes and I remember Andy saying at one point (around Shameless) that graham said that the band should try to sound a bit more like them

Strange Graham thing on Wikipedia in General Therapy? Topics
“Graham made a fatal mistake in 2008 by not paying the band “you’re only massive” for a gig they played with them. They then retaliated by composing a song based on his tight fisted nature. They also ape his time with Therapy? and his quite substantial Ego. Graham then began to close himself off from the world after this incident becoming more and more of a recluse. He was last seen in Eastern Tibet where he has apparently found God and is saving up to pay “you’re only massive” for their gig.”
What the fuck?

Re: Johnny Rotten on Coldplay… in Other Bands & Artists
An average Coldplay/Snow Patrol et al gig consists of mainly 20,000 couples in the 30-something age bracket snogging to ‘their song’. I do not respect Chris martin for appearing in Extras. It’s the most self-consciously driven guest appearance in the show and the one which is most designed to re-construct a celebrity’s public image.

In british sitcom Game On both Nowhere and Screamager are played, and in the episode which has Screamager the character Matt played by Ben Chaplin says “never explain never apologise” a strange coincidence I think!

Re: The Lisbon Treaty in Chit-Chat
Yeah I’m glad we voted no. problem is our vote will be ignored throughout Europe, and I do not think the Irish will get ‘a better deal’ which was one of the main arguments of the No side. I also hated the fact that many TDs and campaigners on both sides were indulging in childish tactics such as systematically calling the other side liars and accusing them of spouting rubbish. both sides were bullied in a way I have never seen before, but I am glad it was rejected.

Re: Casey Jones Reaction Songs in General Therapy? Topics
I really like Apple, Serge is nice too, Andy’s voice sounding particularly good. although the rest of the songs might be a bit of a let down, these two being the ones recorded in the studio

Re: Which album hit you immediately ? in General Therapy? Topics
Although I’m a massive fan, none of the albums hit me immediately (accept Troublegum at a stretch), only on the third or fourth listen have I actually not been annoyed with the songs, but i’ve always grown to love them.

Re: Richard Dawkins in Chit-Chat
I enjoyed the Enemies of Reason shows. another amazing book i would advise anyone to read about destroying the shite around astrology, princess diana, modern politicians, self-help books, thatcherism, pop-art etc is a book called How Mumbo Jumbo Conquered the World by Francis Wheen, its an incredibly well written hilarious book that rigourously destroys myths of our age

Bought mine a few days ago before going to my girlfriends gaff which DOESN’T HAVE A CD PLAYER WHY ARE YOU IN MY LIFE but got home last night just to put it on at midnight. Fuckin ace album, love the second version of Totally Random Man, Disgracelands, Nausea, Misery, Brainsaw esp v.good. End part of The Sweeney reminds me of the Pumpkinsfor some reason, dont like Hopkins’ drumming on Teethgrinder, Fyfe (and Neil) is so much better.

This ones a bizarre one. In the handmade cosmetic franchise store Lush in Dublin theres a bar of soap entitled Therapy? but the questionmark is upside down (i presume to not be breaking copyright.) very strange. its the store on the left as you walk from grafton street to o connell street and the particular aromatic soap is at the back of the shop.
