Kill_Hill is right. In Ireland it was actually cheaper to fly no-frills to Paris to see his gig rather than pay the asking price at his Dublin concerts. I live in Cork and if you include the train fare (60euro return) accomodation (approx 50euro) food (20euro minimum) beer (varies) and the fact that I would have to take two days off work (midweek concert) I would practically be losing several hundred quid just to see Mr Waits.

But back on topic, what about Janis Joplin? she was taken in her prime

I stayed up all last night as I have an assignment due soon, so I’m a bit hyperactive. This morning i woke the sofa-folk with Complete Control by the Clash (as I dance in the middle of the living room obviously to catch a glimpse of the grimaces).

I think Everyday Should Be A Holiday is a fantastic song. What did everyone think of Dig? I think its an amazing film, but the Dandies come off really badly in it, real hypocrites and really boring compared to Anton’s crew.

I remember hearing one of their new songs, probably their last single. the music, vocals and especially the lyrics were some of the worst I’ve heard from any band this side of the Irish sea.

Rusty cage is his best cover version I think, I love the change in it. Pisses all over Cornell’s ‘emotive’ singing as well which is commendable in my opinion

Would it really be that much of a cash cow? Id say more money would be made if he just joined the Queens on stage. This whole reforming bands when you have moved on career-wise is beyond me.
