Am I reading too much into this? in General Therapy? Topics
First the band states they’re going to have a long world tour for the new album, and now they’re hinting at T-shirt reissues.
Is it possible the new label is actually going to put some push behing the next album?
I know crazy talk..but one can hope :)
While I’m at it, any chance for a vynil release of the new album?
Reissues of the older stuff?

Re: Favourite Album song opener and closer in General Therapy? Topics
I like the end of 30 Seconds. At the end of that dark ass album’s tune after tune of gloom and doom, it’s almost like Andy’s trying to convince himself (and us) that life’s not all bad. Very fitting I think.

Re: Rehearsal June 2008… in General Therapy? Topics
sounds very post-punk. Little Jesus Lizardy…sounded like a middle bit to me.

Re: Anything new with T? in General Therapy? Topics
Zippy coverage up here, other than when Screamager orginally came out.
I just stumbled into Pleasure Death and Babyteeth on iTunes!
I was playing Innocent X, and in the recommendation bar in iTunes it popped up Babyteeth.
Looks like Southern Records released them onto iTunes. But they messed up and it’s under “Therapy” instead of “Therapy?”
But the artworks there and everything.
Now if A&M (or whatever they are now) would do the same with the rest of the catalogue.

Re: Anything new with T? in General Therapy? Topics
NANE was finally released on US iTunes. I swore OCFA was too but it’s not there anymore.
Nice to see another Virginian (well soon to be ex) on the boards. But 30 miles south of Richmond…isn’t that NC?

Re: Screamager just on 6 Music in General Therapy? Topics
I popped it on the CD player in my car coming back from a show. My friends went nuts for it and “Our Love Must Die” giving me the “WHo’s that??”
I’ve got some CD burning to do

Screamager. That first line sums up my teen years better than any song…too bad it came out a few years after I graduated

Re: Concept Album in General Therapy? Topics
I always thought of Infernal Love as a bit of a concept album. If you think about it, the whole album deals with flip sides of love… either love gone bad, unconventional relationships, obsession, falling out of love, self distructive relationships etc.
Its not telling a single story like some concept albums, but there’s definatly a strong thread between the tracks.

Re: Reissue Campaign? in General Therapy? Topics
a lot may depend on who owns the masters. The Universal one’s would probably be expensive to get ahold of. And I doubt they’d do a remaster and wide reissue. Unless T?’s next ablum really sells.
I can’t imagine it being too expensive to get ahold of Babyteeth and Pleasure Death, since they were indies. And they need it the most…next to Nurse.

Re: new DVD? in General Therapy? Topics
I finally got this a few weeks ago. I ordered it off Amazon marketplace. It was pricey, and I expected it to be PAL. I was shocked it was actually NTSC.
Nice to finally see a good copy of Opal Mantra and Turn
I also like the version of Stories better than the other one I saw on YouTube…Fyfe really seemed to be into the mean interigator role

Re: Which album hit you immediately ? in General Therapy? Topics
Hats off to the Insane EP and Troublegum and Infernal Love hit me the most immediately where I just went WOW!!!
Suicide Pact probably took the most getting used to.

Re: The Q+A replies…? in General Therapy? Topics
Well done everyone! But I must say the picture threaded through the answers was rather disturbing. You see Neil’s head but the rest of him disappears…you still see Andy & Mike’s feet but nothing where Neil was standing. Maybe I just need to quit watching those x-files DVDs

Re: Therapy? Q&A August 2007 in General Therapy? Topics
Do any of the guys currently have any side projects?
Have there been any other styles of music that Andy has dabbled into writing, that may not make it on a T? because it’s so different

I feel conned by universal. I fucking bought the download which i wouldnt of bothered doing if i knew the real thing was coming, i would of held out.
It could be though they did the download as a feeler to see what interest is. Apparently it was pretty good so they decided to do a actual release.
Maybe if sales continue they’ll re-issue some of the old stuff..re-mastered even ***crosses fingers, toes and eyes, for re-mastered Nurse***

Re: potato junkie…solved! in General Therapy? Topics
I remember Blow Up, but don’t remember the line. Makes sense though since David Hemmings played a photographer, versus “If” which was about kids at school…or something like that
Best part of Blow Up though was the rare performance of the Yardbirds w/ both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page!

Re: News request please in General Therapy? Topics
NOOO not Gore. He;d put everyone to sleep, how could the band follow that?
“Hell…Lo…Every..One…please…wel..come…my..new…friends…Ther apy? (said like a question)..”
The band would be halfway through the first song before everyone woke up..
Funny about Gore, how people like him now since he lost to Bush… Everyone seems to forget his spearheading the PMRC record cencorship crusade in the 80s.
