Re: UK Tour April 2012-CONFIRMED in Therapy? Live

The Bristol gig seems to be sold out already. Well on Seetickets and Ticketweb anyway. Glad I got them in early.

Excellent, will definitely be at the Bristol gig. :)

Re: Fyfe to record with Ginger in Other Bands & Artists

But you won’t get the full 30 tracks, legally anyway. Or you’ll be paying over the odds for one on ebay. Ginger has stated that only 10 or 12 of the songs will be available on the normal version.

Re: Death Race 2011 in Chit-Chat

John Candy died in 94 mate, unless you mean someone else. Surely there is only one John Candy, legend. Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a classic.

Re: What was your first “new” Therapy? album? in General Therapy? Topics

Mine was Never Apologize, Never Explain. Got into them shortly after High Anxiety came out through seeing various Troublegum era videos on the tv channel Scuzz (fair play back then they showed there videos alot). Then seen them for the first time supporting The Wildhearts before NANE came out.

Re: 2010 end of year round up in Other Bands & Artists

In no particular order

Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier
Weezer - Hurley
Weezer - Death To False Metal
Fear Factory - Mechanize
Sick Of It All - Based On A True Story
Jason & The Scorchers - Halcyon Times
Manic Street Preachers - Postcards From A Young Man
Monster Magnet - Mastermind
Volbeat - Beyond Heaven/Above Hell
Therapy? - Were Here To The End
Michael Monroe - Another Night In The Sun
Down - Diary Of A Mad Band

Also bought new albums from Feeder, Deftones, Korn, HIM, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Serj Tankian, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion. Haven’t really given these a good listen to be fair.

Gigs? Hmm nowhere near as good as last year for me, I’ll be honest i’ve walked away from alot of gigs this year wishing I hadn’t wasted my time. But the good ones were, Monster Magnet, The Damned (As usual), Sorry & The Sinatras, Manics and to be fair I really enjoyed Green Day they put on hell of a show. Also seeing Fear Factory in a few weeks so that could beat the rest to top spot.

Only seen one new film this year, Predators. Really liked it. Will get round to watching The Expendables when it comes out next week aswell.

Re: The Wildhearts in Other Bands & Artists

God Damn Whores? Although that was quite a few years ago now.

I think alot of it is to do with Scott Sorry, he’s got a family to take care of etc. Probably Ginger doesn’t want anyone else other than Scott, so will wait until he can come back. Who knows for sure though anything could have happened.

Finally get to see Monster Magnet tonight, the new album Mastermind is really good. And there playing lots of early stuff aswell. Should be a good one.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

Great set. Weird seeing I Disappear in there, didn’t think they’d still play that these days. Although they do pretty much cover the whole back catalogue these days with the exception of the Load albums and St Anger.

Re: Vent your spleen! in Chit-Chat

I don’t mind play.com, I just find them pretty slow these days, can’t say i’ve ever had an item never turn up or damaged. Had two cd’s this morning from them and were fine and both in the same package which is something i’ve been wanting them to do for ages.

I’d say that I order from whatever company is the cheapest, if the item I want is the same price everywhere, these days i’ll go for HMV whereas a few years ago I wouldn’t have gone near them as something always seemed to go wrong with my orders with them.

Play though always seem to have something I want for a bargain price, on monday they had a one off deal day, where the latest Gaslight Anthem cd was only £3.99 so I had to buy it.

As for Amazon… not sure really. I probably order more from the marketplace rather than amazon itself.

Also does anyone order from the seller both on Amazon and Play.com called Zoverstocks? I’ve ordered countless stuff from them and they are always dirt cheap, if you don’t mind having used items that is.

Re: We’re Here Till The End in General Therapy? Topics

Play.com, Amazon and HMV all saying available in 1 - 2 weeks… pretty poor from the distribution. What is the pojnt of release dates when shit like this happens. Fair enough people can order directly from Global, but not everyone wants to do that.

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists

The Smashing Pumpkins - Greatest Hits. Seen a live thing on them on mtv last night and really enjoyed it , had loads of their songs in my head in work today. So I feel a binge of Gish, Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie coming on. Maybe i’ll revisit Zeitgeist again as I can’t actually remember what any of it sounds like.

Re: The Wildhearts in Other Bands & Artists

Quite surprised not many of you liked Chutzpah!, I know I’m a Ginger/Wildhearts fan boy but I personally thought it’s one of they’re best albums. And the Chutzpah Jnr cd was excellent aswell.

The self titled album, I think did suffer from a poor production, but with some strokes of genius. Rooting For The Bad Guy especially is a great song.

To quote Ginger about the recent re-releases “Yeah, they’re being released by a company who got the masters from East West. I’m sure they’ll sound great and find the band a new audience. Not sure how many die hards will buy them, but if they’re cheap enough why not?”

So maybe fair to say Ginger doesn’t really mind/care.

And another quote from Ginger regarding the future of the Wildhearts ” it may be years until we play together again”… So that sounds pretty ominous, I know Scott Sorry has just got married so I think he’s taking a break for awhile. Ginger has all sorts of stuff going on, the Michael Monroe band being the main priority It seems.

Who knows with The Wildhearts anything could happen.

Re: Manic Street Preachers in Other Bands & Artists

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there Bad Karma. Throughout the tour to ‘allegedly’ promote the new album they have played 6 songs off it and two of them only got played a handful of times. Seems they really don’t have much confidence in it.
