Not a bill and ted fan then?

Nah never got into it , I think the reason being that I saw Waynes World 1&2 first and then thought whats the point in Bill and Ted even though it was out first. And probably because of keanu it seemed worse than it actually was , I think the other one is a great though the one whos also in the lost boys Marco I believe his name was in it.

Re: Films that should have been great, but… in Chit-Chat

While were on the subject of critisizing actors then , An actor I don’t hate but don’t think to much of, Will Ferrell I just don’t find him that funny , its probably just me on this as nearly everyone else I talk to about films etc seems to love him. His best role in my opinion was his cameo in Jay and silent bob strike back… other than that i’m not that fussed. I just find him a poor mans Gene Wilder who is a legend.

Re: Films that should have been great, but… in Chit-Chat

I’ve never seen The Devils Advocate (which I probably should of) so maybe he could redeem himself , I don’t like Bill and Ted , Speed is a bit shite aswell. To be fair if you don’t include the matrix films he hasnt really done that many well known films (Less than 10?). Bram Stockers Dracula is a good film but still felt his acting wasn’t upto much.

Re: Films that should have been great, but… in Chit-Chat

@ Silverginger 5 - Never has a sentence been so true , I hate Keanu Reeves with a passion. What a shit actor. I think I watched the Matrix once and actually fell asleep , hes so emotionless and boring. God I hate him. Also on my hated actors list is Matt Damon and Hugh Grant , despice them two aswell.

Re: Little Britain USA in Chit-Chat

I just caught a bit of the ameircan little britian , i thought some of the new characters were decent , well just the one with the grandmother saying all the drugs she’d took. That was ok.

First series was good when it first come out , the one sketch that always stood out for me was a character that only appeared once A police officer/driving instructor that went quite mad and in the end started shouting at his learner and then said the classic line “… Now on your way you black bastard” lol when the learner was a white male. Thought it was a good odd evil sketch.

The Fast Show is still class , Leauge of Gentlemen still great well as people have said the first two series, and love Harry enfield if its ever on but thats rare it ain’t even on uk gold.

I also agree Holy Grail is better than Life of Brian even though it is great.

Re: Films that should have been great, but… in Chit-Chat

Not Michael Caine’s finest hour. :)

*Spoiler*

A few weeks ago I watched the Lost Boys 2 - The Tribe , to be honest it wasn’t as bad as I had thought it was going to be but the last 15 minutes or so were fucking shit , except a small part right at the end. Apparently theres going to be a third film coming out if the two coreys resolve their differences.

I still haven’t seen the fourth indiana jones or die hard. Seen Rambo 4 that isn’t as good as people were making out. I did like Rocky 6 though.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

Thats good to hear , there hasn’t been many decent gigs there in years , The last band was The Misfits and before that Ginger a few times and the wildhearts but the last few years nothing which is a shame cause it is a great venue.

Still can’t believe I didn’t even see the Backyard Babies, shit truely does happen.

Hope so , cheers though. The annoying thing is I can’t get hold of her cause her number was only on my mobile. Typical.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

@ Grant , Cheers for clearing that up , I really don’t know what the hell happened. Do you know if she got home ok ?

@ Self Destrcut , My arse isnt sore but then again if it was i wouldn’t exactly be bragging about it lol. But nah i’m pretty sure that didn’t happen.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

@ Grant, I don’t think I made it through the first song , I’m pretty sure I was spiked cause I can’t remember a single thing from what happend , I don’t even know how I got back to Swansea.

Did you see if my friend was still there ? I lost my phone and couldn’t get hold of her.

Re: Whats the next gig you want to go to? in Chit-Chat

Going to see the Backyard Babies tommorow in newport , can’t really be arsed but a ticket had already been bought and if I don’t go the other person can’t either, so don’t wanna ruin everyones time. So i’ll just get hammered and hope I don’t miss the last train home.

Re: Squall has a new job ! in Chit-Chat

I’m not till trained , thank god. I was asked once like at christmas last year but I said I didn’t really fancy it.

What department you on Graeme? I’m on grocery.

Re: Squall has a new job ! in Chit-Chat

I also work for tesco , I really enjoy aswell to be honest. Good money also , £5.95 an hour. I’m currently on handing out corn flakes at the front of the store duty , easy as anything but very tedious.

It’s true though , the longer it takes to get a job the harder it will become. If I hadn’t got the tesco job i’d still be looking for sure. because the job centers don’t give a shit , they couldn’t care less wether you’ve applied for one job or 100 jobs , they get paid to sign people on if they could give everyone in britain a job then they’d be out of work , It’s a vicious cycle. Also when I was on the dole it was very easy to stay on it as I haven’t got any responsibilites , don’t pay bills , don’t run a car. So £95 every other week isn’t too bad , but obviously getting a job enables me to buy things and have better things. But thats just my age , a 19 year old on the dole, some would say its a great thing. It soon gets boring though.

Anyways good luck Muskeg , something will come.

Re: aren’t tattoo’s brilliant!! in Chit-Chat

@ Colin , yeah stars could look well good , the new t-shirt design of the smiley bones has stars on it I recall and looks nice. Upto you though.

@ Kill Hill , no problem as of yet with fading which im quite suprised at considering yellow is probably the worst for it , so far so good. In years to come though if it does fade I probably would touch it up a bit.

The thing is with tatts once you start its hard to stop , or at least I found it that way, very addictive. But i’ve managed to go over a whole year since my last one and as i’ve got a bit of money now I fancy a new one or two. :)

My smiley bones , I had it when I was 16 so im guilty aswell… but im 19 now and still love it and the wildhearts remain my favourite band. I regard tattoos as memories of things you love, even if one day I suddenly stopped listening to them I will always know that they were a very important part of my teenage years and they’ll be something i’ll never forget.

I also have a maiden one

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c160/davies666/1291153239_l.jpg

Same as above really maiden have been one of my favourite bands of all time… I’m not saying im going to get a tattoo of every band who are my favourite at that moment in time… that would be really silly :D.

I also have chinese symbols of something very personal to me and after my next pay slip I shall be booking myself in for a Liverpool FC tattoo of somesort.

Music and football are the things that I enjoy the most and make me happy, so thats all the reason I need to have them tattooed.

Re: WOMble Fantasy Football League 08/09 in Chit-Chat

Has/Is anyone going to sign up for one of the newspaper fantasy football games like The Sun etc… We could then make a WOMble leauge and if its the best we all win money or something along those lines. :)

Re: WOMble Fantasy Football League 08/09 in Chit-Chat

Howard (Everton)

Bouma (Villa) Dunne (Man City) Gallas (Arsenal) Corluka (Man City)

Gerrard [c] (Liverpool) Carrick (Man U) Barry (Villa , soon to be liverpool) Malbranque (Spurs)

Torres (Liverpool) Carew (Villa)

Subs : Schwarzer (Fulham) Hunt (Bolton) Smertin (Fulham) Ashton (West Ham)

Really looking forward to this season , I genuinally think it could be Liverpools time for the leauge if we get Barry and Robbie Keane… then again I always think they COULD do it. Heres hoping. You watch first game of the season against sunderland away a frustrating 0-0 or 1-1 , would be typical.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

Maiden in twickenham yesturday, They were amazing , I was on the barrier but right under a big screen so couldn’t help but watch that at times which kinda took away the live feel if ya get me. But fair play brilliant set played to perfection really , the stage show was fantastic… a pity it was still light even up to the last few songs so the lights and stuff didn’t have there full justice. But nonetheless a great show and proves the world really that maiden are the biggest and probably the best metal band in the world at the moment… yes even bigger than Metallica lol.

Re: Whats the next gig you want to go to? in Chit-Chat

Off to see maiden tommorow in twickenham can’t wait. And to make it even better I actually have a standing ticket which I didn’t realise at first :D.

Re: fantasy euro 2008 in Chit-Chat

I made zero on the euros, glad Spain won in the end , best team overall.

Robbie Keane to the pool , oh yes I’d love it. And they were his boyhood team, hope this happens. Keane is a class act.
