As far as the fantasy football goes the third group games have gone pretty shitty with the majority of us with players who’s teams have already qualified like Portugal , Holland and Spain.

The quaters if unlimited transfers and 10 million extra so we’ll probably have near enough the majority of the same players , guess its gonna come down to who picks the right captain.

Yep its truely an awful name for an album , sounds really cheesy. I haven’t heard anything from it yet , I’ll prob wait for the full songs.

Well yes , I wasn’t too sure that Holland could do it again but wow I was proven wrong they were immense , It was probably the best game i’ve possibly ever watched and im really serious about that I actually stood up and clapped when Sneijders goal went in.

What is it like out in the netherlands at the moment Punkwank? I went to Amsterdam last year on football tour during the gay pride festival and I thought that was mental.

It was on last night on film4 as was This is England , both great films that i’ve liked for a good while. There two of the very few films of the last 8 or so years that i’ve actually liked.

Well Spain looked good , comfortable win and they didn’t play to there best I don’t think. Sweeden deserved there win , Greece were woefull.

So for Spain and Holland have played the best , I think Portugal and Germany will improve as the tournament goes on.

Btw has anyone used a wild card yet ? Can anyone give me any info on how it works please ? Cheers

WOW well I wasn’t quite expecting that. Holland were great , the two counter attack goals were brilliant. I even thought Italy played quite well , didn’t really deserve to lose 3-0 but can’t take anything away from the dutch they were fantastic.

What a comparisson from the France game to this one , one of the worst games i’ve ever watched to one of the best.

I’d still like to see Italy go through from the group , they should beat Romania next. And now I hope Holland stuff France.

Looking forward to seeing Spain tommorow, hope they play good attacking football like the dutch.

Well that was the most boring game I have ever watched , and I’m a Liverpool fan. France playing two defencive midfilders , even in the last 10 minutes. They looked too scared to try and win , and well Romania have got a draw against the french they’re happy. I still won’t right off france completley yet , Hopefully Italy will do the business later.

Stranger things have happened. I guess we’ll find out what Romania are gonna be like in a short while.

I’ve got money on italy and france to win the tournament so I guess i’m hoping for a good start from both. I’m leaning towards the italians though. :)

You never know with the Dutch they could pull something out of the bag , they have got alot of attacking talent. And they are being too overlooked in my opinion on there day they could end up beating anyone.

Dermot , you can make transfers now , I’ve already made 3 and they start in the 2nd game of the group stage.

I think France will win tonight , and Italy , the dutch look very shakey at the back and they’ve got lots of injuries.

I just wasn’t sure if I did make the transfers that it would be as you said and they’d come through at the later stages or just the next group game.

The only thing is Di Natale as I would then have 2 French , 1 Dutch and 1 Italian… one or possibly 2/3 has to go.

@ Butters , Unfortuantley I can’t give you that answer. I had him in my team and was put off by newspapers and some websites saying that Abidal is more likely to start , which I can’t believe. I put Thuram in instead as i’m pretty sure he’s gonna start and costs the same.

And yep I agree klose looked scared of scoring , the fans loved him though , I could hear them chanting his name many times.

It appears you can make 4 transfers without losing any points I think. So i’ve made 3 lol , I may regret this.

Got rid of Schweinsteiger , Koller and Olic. Brought in João Moutinho, Podolski (You could see that one yeah?) and Di Natale.

Yeah mine (defence) too Butters. But Klose did get me a nice 16 points atm as hes my captain. He should have really taken the first chance for himself. And I can’t believe he’s been credited with the assist for the 2nd goal haha , what a pass :P.

I already want to make changes to my side lol , Schweinsteiger didn’t even start and then he got booked. Jan Koller yesturday did nothing for me at all , hes starting to get on a bit and the Cechz don’t look to great.

Austria were quite unlucky weren’t they? Croatia first half looked pretty decent but they totally run out of steam the last 20 or so.

I was reading the paper yesturday and 6 out of 11 footie pudits said the Croats would make the final four just cause they beat England twice, no chance from that display.

Modric looked alright first half , 16 million for him though ? Olic also looked good first half but run out of steam , he reminds me of Dirk Kuyt but with a worse goal record.

I hope the Germany game is better , hopefully a few more goals.

First two games were ok , Portuagal looked good. The Checz looked average but then again could be first game nerves but without Rosicky and Nedved they don’t offer much , The Swiss were a bit unlucky and played ok I though.

Germany and Croatia will probably both win tonight.

I managed to draw Italy in the pub sweep aswell , so i’m quite happy with that.

Just a few last minute changes… couldnt help myself. I transfered Senderos for a cheaper sweedish defender so I could get Carvalho rather than Mellberg, I figured that senderos will only be on my bench anyway and even if he gets automatically subbed he’d probably cost me points as I think the Swiss might concede a few as they haven’t played a competetive game in nearly two years.

I would have rathered Mertersaker or Metzelder than Carvalho but unfortunatley the only two players from each team rule come in :(.

Thats actually still a really good team , only your russian forward i’ve never seen play. The rest are all good players.
