Re: other bands covering T? in General Therapy? Topics

I actually had Antiproduct soundcheck Screamager for me personally once here in Holland which was rather nice :D

I also once exposed myself on stage with them in the cave in Amsterdam but thats another story…

Re: Weirdest place you’ve found something Therapy? in General Therapy? Topics

Title: RW a therapy? fan (merged)

Just had channel 4 on with Popworld or some trash - Anyway a certain mr Robbie Williams happened to cite Therapy? in the interview - sadly only for use of the question mark in their name, but a plug to the musically challenged about real music can’t be bad.

Re: Amsterdam show live on internet! in Therapy? Live

Title: End of show

I was at the gig last night as well, and the little jam at the end was astounding. From memory they played Teenage Kicks (Undertones), Pet Cemetary (Ramones), What do I get (Buzzcocks), one or two others and then to finish, Blitzkrieg Bop (Ramones) - at this moment I went crazy apeshit bonkers - there is nothing quite like seeing one of your favourite bands cover one of your favourite bands favourite songs.

The only song missing was Supersuckers “Pretty Fucked Up” - they soundchecked to this a couple of times on the 2004 tour they did with the Wildhearts, which I was fortunate to be on. I may have asked before, but have they ever played this live?

Great to see the boys last night, and even better when they remembered me :) So tempted to go to Utrecht tonight as well.

Re: Therapy? Fan meeting…! in General Therapy? Topics

Well if such a thing did happen in Amsterdam I know of a cracking pub on the Leidseplein that could host it. Damn handy for the Paradiso and the Melkweg, where T do like to play.

In fact I think I’ll go for a pint there tonight :D

Re: What is a nice Cover for the next Tour…!! in Therapy? Live

Title: I wish they would out “pretty fucked up”

Supersuckers classic - they rehearsed with it when they did the Wildhearts tour last year on more than one occasion - subsequently got me into the supersuckers.

I’ve seen them a fair few times, but wondered if this was ever played/released?

Re: die like a motherfucker! in General Therapy? Topics

Think I have found my new tattoo - the therapy? logo and the title of this song surrounding it. Oh yes it will be mine

Re: therapy? on stubru in radar in General Therapy? Topics

I really enjoyed the candidness of the chaps on the show - the explanation about Martin you could tell came from the heart, and I completely understand their reasoning behind it all.

Also I really found myself not alone when Micheal went on about the “sad little c@nts” on top of the pops and shouting at the TV - I still have pizza stains on my wall from seeing some teeny bopper band at 4am whilst wankered, and launching my late late lunch at the TV.

Middle age *is* good ! :D

Re: New Therapy? Album leaked in General Therapy? Topics

Got mine yesterday at Fame in Amsterdam, and whilst I was not sure of the album after hearing the downloads, I am starting to really like this. It is very old school therapy? - a kind of return to their roots, bit of a Joy Division vibe on some of the tracks. The basslines are mental indeed, as someone mentioned.

Just need it transferring to my MD player - retro technology for this album me thinks :D

Waynster - do you have a brother living in the Cheshire area who does light and sound for a theatre?

Nope - I’m an essex boy, and my brother works on a golf course in Clacton.

where have they been taken??

It was on the recent Wildhearts/Therapy? UK Tour. And I took them :) - I was lucky enough to get invited along by the Wildhearts as they wanted the shots for the new album.

The guys from Therapy? were fan-fuckin-tastic -some of the nicest people you could meet, and I hope to photograph them (and have a beer with them) sometime soon.
