Re: Marilyn Manson - Personal Jesus in Other Bands & Artists

i never liked manson..
he’s shitty.. and a bad bastard ;) = he’s not nice

i heard that he treats his band members pretty hard.. and that the guitarist wants to leave the band.. because manson gave him a punch or sth… :o

and for that ALONE.. manson would be NOTHING… (without his band)

and, big surprise: Bands need to make a living, too! So, tell me you would turn down some extra money, if you got the chance to.

Sure, it’s ridiculous if declared “punk” bands like the Manic Street Preachers, who call themselves communists and anti-capitalists, release a greatest hits album, a greatest hits DVD, a B-Side Collection, etc

yes i can see your point on that that musicians got to live too..

but a band like the cure?.. i think they got enought money am i right??

i cant understand that they cant say no to the label.. no we dont want to sell songs for commericals. ??????????????????????????????

Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate the attempt to try somethibg different, I just don’t think it worked particularly well most of the time.

I love “Infernal Love”, but I don’t quite see a connection between that album and “The Difference…”.

dont get ME wrong i have nothing against you.. (maybe it seemed a bit agressive.. but i didnt meant it to be like this.. sorry) i just wanted to make it clear.. :)

yes i also dont see a connection between infernal love and difference it was just a example..

yooo!
thanks

i wanted to ask the people over the board if anyone knows about his snare drums on high anxiety

Re: New The Cure in Other Bands & Artists

hmmm…

well i think you’re right people…
you CAN see it as a job.. but it’s more that you make music because you like it, say a hobbie.. but whats wrong with earning money with it…
and also earning money that you can go on with that like you said..

ok you changed my mind… (in a way) :)

but you still know what i meant with selling yourself to the industry, which is important as i think…

but i see it from another sight now…
thanks for the conversation ;)

whats the release date yet???

Re: New The Cure in Other Bands & Artists

yes in a way your right, cause the’ve done the music on their own.. they made the song and they can do with that what they want… whats wrong with earning money with that…

but from another sight.. its like they sold theirselfs to the industry…
if a young band sells songs for commercial, then does it mean that they want the get bigger to earn more money, to be famous.. and enjoy the life of rich mans

a few bands would never and never do that.. some tell that in interviews that this is bad etc

for that.. kurt cobain never wanted that. but they became bigger and bigger he never wanted to get big with his band… he hated it to became famous (which is a bit strange)

i hope the reason why i dont like it is clear.. its a bit hard to explain

Re: Green Day - American Idiot in Other Bands & Artists

i never really liked them…
just a few tunes, which i used to listen..

i saw the new video this morning…
i think its far better than the old stuff..

i liked a few songs from warning…
but not really my pair of shoes ;) if you know what i mean… :)

Re: New The Cure in Other Bands & Artists

i liked the cure even more when i was a bit younger.. first i wanted to buy the new album but i am not too sure…

do you know that robert smith sold songs for car commercial… i dont like that.. the man who sings about the big pains of love and the whole pain of the world sells songs for car commercial..

not that the music is bad but i didnt like that..

everytime i hear their songs now.. i think about fucking car commercials…

Re: McClusky / Future Of The Left in Other Bands & Artists

i dont think that its a letdown..

its like therapy’s? troublegum and following infernal love album…

you wanted a second troublegum? sorry mate but good bands want to reinvent theirselfs and this is what a good bands are all about..

i love their and therapy albums…
and the ten year plan album by therapy is a compilation of the various sounds the created (in my opinion) and not really a “best” of…

thats a bit shitty…
but i can live with that…

I love Mclusky, think they are influenced from Therapy? also. On the “do dallas” album I recognise influences from “Suicide Pact-You First”.

could be.. i dunno
but you can compare them..

but mclusky excist since 1996 and first album came out in 2000 so.. they cant be influenced by suicide pact you.. cause it came also out in 2000..

hi, i’m a senior member back from a long pause from this board.

i wanted to say that:

1. mclusky are one of the best bands on earth

2. my pain… 4/5
do dallas 5/5
the difference… 4/5

3. the webmaster on their site is a therapy? fan (the site is called a moment of clarity i think)

totally mr.penn
all you said is right!

i am a big big big mclusky fan.. but you should check out “do dallas” or “difference”.. not that my pain isnt good…
