I think the last one I went to was Iron Maiden at the NIA in Birmingham.

Very good, but I’d love to have seen them somewhere less soulless.

Before that…I think it was Adam Ant at the O2 in Brum.. very, very good. Legend. Relied very heavily on his first album - which is a good thing, I should add. Stripped down, punky, rock n roll. Cack version of YMCA though - changed to A.N.T.S. :D Knobhead!

Shamelss is a great album, one of my favourite T? releases.

I’ll get lambasted for this, but I’d much rather listen to Shameless these days than Troublegum.

I am currently listening to my first two new release purchases of 2012, namely:

Therapy? - A Brief Crack of LIght - I have commented in the dedicated thread, but needless to say I like it

Lamb of God - Resolution - Again, pleased with this one. Some interesting ventures into new pastures without being odd for the sake of it. I expect it will be a bit too melodic for some long-term fans..I’m anticipating cries of “sell out!”, and certainly it’s a more accessible album than some of their others. But…it’s very good.

Really impressed with this album.

It’s quite dark, and quite stark in some places too, so might be a “difficult” album to come back to a lot…but I think it’s great that a band that has been going so long can push forwards into different areas and still retain what it is that makes them what they are.

Liking the sense of space in this album, as much as anything else - some really stripped down moments.

Different enough from CT to be worth making, similar enough to not be a let down (CT was effin’ ace, after all!)
