I didn’t say the T? click wasn’t advertising the album! Quite the opposite in fact.

Anyway this isn’t the Metallica thread, and yes I know it was me that brought it up but to keep it on topic:

I think the T? clip shows a level of experimentation that was absent from OCFA for the most part. Hard to make any judgement from one small clip that may not even make the album but I am encouraged by the clip all the same.

My point was that I think it is great that Therapy? upload things like this without feeling the need to charge fans for what is in effect advertising for the album.

Surely they are going about this the wrong way? Shouldn’t they take Metallica’s lead and charge us excessive amounts of money for short,bootleg quality studio footage?!

Judging by the posts above, I think we all have a different idea of which songs are the poppy ones anyway, so if I were T? I certainly wouldn’t be losing any sleep over it.

You know when a couple is expecting a baby and someone asks if they want a boy or a girl and the reply is “I don’t care, as long as they’re healthy”..? Well that’s how I feel about the next Therapy? album.

I think there’s probably very little by way of conscious thought that goes into whether an album will be “poppy” or not…I think whatever comes out in the sessions comes out, simple as that.

That said, I imagine writing pop-punk type songs could become quite tiresome over time. Throwing different styles into the mix is bound to be more rewarding for the band. And for the fans for that matter.
