Re: T? On Heavy-Metal Anthems Compilation in General Therapy? Topics

It’s like they have sat down and copied every other Rock compilation album and just deliberately chosen different songs..:

“Motorhead..Well, gotta be Ace of Spades, innit? Oh wait, shit, that one’s gone already…Overkill…?”

“Blue Oyster Cult..hmmmm. Don’t Fear the Rea…what? Oh fuck, not again…”

“Therapy?..? Screamag..No, no, don’t say it…”

Re: new stuff (Clowns Galore) in General Therapy? Topics

Well yeah, but ya know, you wouldn’t let a DRUMMER anywhere near all that expensive gear now, would ya?!

Re: new stuff (Clowns Galore) in General Therapy? Topics

I think in this day and age, with digital recording and ProTools and all that malarkey you can get a very good sound very cheaply and easily.
Unfortunately, the real magic is down to how you put that all together - Getting a great guitar sound on tape is easy enough, but where in the mix does it sit, for example? I think yer man ^ there has a good point about “space” as well.
Mixing and producing is something of a dark art - there’s something magical indeed about the way some records come together.

I just hope Therapy? are good magicians!

Re: new stuff (Clowns Galore) in General Therapy? Topics

I actually quite like the idea of them producing it themselves…

Mind, I quite like the idea of anyone producing it so long as it isn’t the guy who did OCFA.

Anyway, I thought it was the law now that any rock band that has been going over ten years HAS to rope Rick Rubin in to produce their album…?

Actually there are quite a few women of a certain age round these parts that wear so much make-up that you’d swear they were going to some kind of clown convention.
Me being one of them.

Anyway..nice to hear from the band, looking forward to more new stuff…

Re: NANE - Best T? album by a mile! in General Therapy? Topics

Don’t quite know what’s with all the resurrection of old threads but yeah, NANE is deffo up there with the best of T?’s work.

My top three would be NANE, High Anxiety and Shameless. And yes, I know that isn’t most people’s top three so pleeeeease don’t start the whole Shameless debate all over again.
