Aside from the bit about name-calling, which I agree Michael doesn’t deserve, what a load of cliched cobblers!
I remember Noel Gallagher talking about the rest of the band getting arrested on a ferry either going to a gig in Holland that they had to scrap and how Liam was all “Yeah this is Rock n Roll!” about it.
Noel’s response (not word-for-word, I couldn’t find the quote) were “Getting nicked on a ferry for acting the twat is NOT Rock n Roll…Rock n Roll is travelling to somewhere new and playing a fuck off great gig with your mates.”
And I agree.

Yes, Schenker is a guitarist. He played several shows last year pissed out of his skull, hence my reference! :D

Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
I think the best way to make amends would be to play a free, three-hour gig in my back garden….nope? ah well, worth a try! :D
I agree with GimmeBackMyBrainsaw, and I expect most if not all WoMbles will be of the same opinion.
I still wanna see footage/ photos though! :D

Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
Don’t you see though Vagabond? This is just the start of it all…!
Next it’ll be photos in the tabloids of Michael getting out of cars pissed with his knickers showing and then it’ll be hidden-camera footage of him drinking Jagermesiter at home and then it’ll be rehab and then we have Some Kind Of Here Be Monsters the “Therapy? Therapy Film” and…
*shakes head* It’s all gone a bit Amy Winehouse…

Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
Maybe Michael should lay low for a bit and get Michael Schenker to fill in on the bass in the meantime…?

We could always organise a “Love Racism - It’s Fucking Great” concert…and then bomb the site flat once all the racists arrive…?

Re: T? support New Model Army in Cologne (22.12.2007) in Therapy? Live
No no, “don’t ask any more stupid questions” is a lyric from New Model Army, I didn’t mean anything by it!

Re: T? support New Model Army in Cologne (22.12.2007) in Therapy? Live
They definitely had a touch of the old “dog-on-a-string”/ “Do you wanna buy a copy of Socialist Worker?” about them.
Now, just to make sure I have the right band, we’re talking about NMA, not NWA, aren’t we…?

More like a Levellers for the 80’s than the new Clash, but they had their moments for sure.

S’ok dude, wasn’t criticising, just demonstrating my embarrassing hidden alter-ego as a U2 fan.
I know, I know - put me against the wall and shoot me now. I won’t put up a struggle, just tell my wife and kids* I love them.
(Oh, and ask my kids where the f*ck they came from, cos when I left the house this morning, I didn’t have any children!)

Re: Lithuania B2Gether Festival 25/08/07 in Therapy? Live
The “Gloria” song you mention isn’t a U2 song - although on the Rattle And Hum film Bono does sing part of this song. It is a Van Morrison song, written when he was in the band Them.
U2’s DO have a song they wrote called Gloria, but it is very different.

1) Are these tickets still on sale?
2) omg omg that would be sweet I dunno where Warwickshire is but I think its none too far away!
Tickets are usually available on the gate, and as a regular of the Bulldog Bash, I have never known a year when it has sold out and people have been refused entry on the gate - I think they just keep letting everyone in, I dunno! Still, if you intend to go, I recommend buying in advance, just in case.
The site is a few miles outside of Stratford-upon-Avon, the popular tourist town known for being the birthplace of a certain William Shakespeare. You shouldn’t have any trouble at all getting a train or coach from Birmingham, but bear in mind that the site is outside of the town, so save some money for taxi either way!
I must add, though, that as far as we know Therapy? are NOT appearing there this year ;)
