Re: Pantera ex-members killed in Other Bands & Artists
A big part of my metal heart took a thorough pumelling today on hearing of the murder of Dimebag Darrell. Pantera were and still are to this day my favourite band and Dime was a guitar legend that not many could hold a flame to. The world will be a sadder place following this.
Damage Plan :: Blink Of An Eye
SEEMS LIKE ONLY YESTERDAY THE DREAM
BECAME SO CLEAR
ALL WAS POSSIBLE AND GOD IT FELT SO NEAR
SO I SUFFERED AND I BLED, I TRULY DID BELIVE
YEARS HAVE COME AND GONE, BUT JUST WHERE
HAS IT BROUGHT ME
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
SEEMS LIKE MINUTES AS THE YEARS FLY BY
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
AFRAID TO STOP BECAUSE I CAN’T STOP TIME
STROBING SNAPSHOTS OF MY PAST BECOME A
BLURRING FLASH
JUST ONE THING CAN MAKE IT ALL COME FLOODING
BACK
IF I’D STOPPED JUST ONCE TO LOOK BACK MAYBE I
WOULD SEE
JUST HOW FAR I’VE COME, BUT IT TOOK IT’S TOLL
ON ME
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
SEEMS LIKE MINUTES AS THE YEARS FLY BY
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
AFRAID TO STOP BECAUSE I CAN’T STOP TIME
BLINK OF AN EYE
THAT’S JUST HOW FAST YOUR LIFE CAN CHANGE
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, EVERYTHINGS ERASED
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
SEEMS LIKE MINUTES AS THE YEARS FLY BY
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
DON’T EVER STOP BECAUSE YOU CAN’T STOP TIME
Hmm, with the news about Dimebag, guess this song says you should live your life to the full.
Says it all.
RIP Dimebag, you will be missed

Wattie187 is here. in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Title: Wattie187 is here.
Hey there people I am hailing from the mighty Belfast in Northern Ireland and despite what you may hear it is pretty good here. I am a bit of a metal fanatic, with Therapy? being heros of sort as I was growing up. But I also listen to other types of music, everything from Bach to Janis Joplin.
Currently I am employed as a web developer, after spending time working for Shorts making planes (did you know they were glued together!!). At the minute I am in a good place, with a good job and a great girlfriend so life is fairly sweet.
Well thats about all I have to say, look forward to reading your posts.

Lamb of God in Other Bands & Artists
Title: Lamb of God
About a year ago I got into a band called Lamb of God, they reaffirmed my belief that Heavy Metal would not die. Being a metal fan, and listening to all styles within the genre from Iron Maiden to Slayer, I felt the glut of manufactured music was killing metal. So Lamb of God fell into my lap and once again I am a happy metaller.
Their new album Ashes of the Wake, is a brutal lesson in thrash metal and despite their growing popularity their music hasn’t been diluted. From start to finish this album shredds, and not one bad song can I find on this album.
So go and get some Lamb of God, and brace yourself.

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists
Currently listening to the Mad Season, brilliant band formed by Layne Staley and Mike McCready. As you could guess it sounds like a mixture of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains.

Re: Mastodon in Other Bands & Artists
Mastodon are an amazing band, and seriously good live. Their album Remission blew me away and now with the new album Leviathan they have cemented themselves as metal heros. If you get the chance go and see them you wont be dissappointed.
