Fyfe and andy have quite similar voices at times back in the day… I’ve always tried to work out which songs he sings. I didn’t know he did Prison breaker, but I’ve never seen it played live which is generally how I found out. Have we ever worked out a full list of his lead vocal contributions?

The more I listen to the album the less issues I have with it… It’s such a fresh album. The buzzing I’m really enjoying now.. Can’t hum along to it but who cares. Stark Raving Sane is the only thing stopping it being a perfect album and the only problem I have Is the Chorus/main hook is a bit weak compared to the rest of the song. Just hope now that it takes less than 3 years for then next album as they are on a roll!

The song Ecclesiastes I’m going to put into pro tools and speed it up as the drums sound like they are just a slowed down recording.
There is no point to this and Yes I have too much time on my hands being awake all the time.

Well my little one has been hogging the record player and is giving the album his seal of approval!

Yeah they are my least favourite.. the buzzing isn’t bad, very different and some really cool stuff going on.. kind of stands out on the album and changes the flow as it’s not exactly catchy. Stark Raving Sane… I love the verses and other parts just not a fan of the chorus.

Apart from that I think the albums a winner… overall not my favourite album by them but there are tracks on the album which are some of the best they have ever done.. the production I really like.. lots of space and nice and clear not heavily compressed which is good.
It is a short album but it makes me want to play it again and again so that’s a good thing.. hopefully get to hear the others tracks the recorded.. a string of E.P’s like they did with Shortsharpshock/Opal Mantra/Face The strange would be cool :)

I have no idea… It was a bit of a surprise! Post either gets here super quick or takes months, it’s pot luck!

I hear some more reggae inspired bass lines going on, and the use of space has more in common with dub than a rock record. GYDHOMS I felt had those traits more than other songs. :) it’s kind of dub but T? Style ;-)

The songs are as standard structure as past albums, but are more about feel and space. I love, ghost trio and get your dead hand are so far my two personal favourites. :)

I’m so pleased the push themselves with nearly every release these days… Shows how stale other artists let themselves get.

I take back everything I said, don’t know how but my copies arrived today :) very happy chappy. Ive been listening all day with Jr and think its cracking stuff, he dribbled… I take that as approval!

I just emailed them… Thought fuck it I’m getting old and seem to have reached the point in my life to email everyone and complain.

It’s not that weird… Liking the songs, nice bass drivin songs. Not a huge fan of the chorus, but only had a few listens… Love the verse lyrics.

Just checked it out… some really cool and different ideas going on… the buzzing sounds nuts… and Get Your Dead Hand off My shoulder I really like, nice and dubby. I’m looking more forward to it now :)

Awesome… Great song guys, bring on the album! Finally bought a new turn table so the vinyl will be getting a spin the moment it arrives!

They are pushing themselves again… sounds a quite schizophrenic album, no obvious “singles” from the previews but i’m happy with that… hard to judge till i’ve heard the whole thing.
Can’t wait :)

Not a case of not liking it so much… just that it’s my least favourite. Don’t think I actually hate any of their songs.. just some don’t do it for me as much as others.

I love the whole of NANE apart from Rock You Monkeys… which I just don’t like and feels out of place on the whole album. NANE was different and a darker sound showing side of T? that to me always made then stand out. It also brought back the dark side to T? that had been missing since SP-YF.. I was disappointed when HA came out as I didn’t really like the sound of the album and the songs seemed uninspired in places and i know people like the song but it had Rust on the album and that’s my least favourite song by them ever.

I think Pleasure Death was the first as I still have the review from Kerrang in a folder somewhere which let me know they had something else to release
