Surely there’s only two names to call a Les Paul anyway? Les or Paul.

I was going to do that joke, but for some reason I stopped myself. I feel foolish now:(

Probably whatever ones _look_ nicest.
We were wandering round the shop yesterday, and we came to a rack of straps. He found one that he liked, and when we got to the actual guitars that he liked he said (seriously), ‘well, either is good, they would both go well with that strap.’ Maybe I’m adopted?

Are you sure that he isn’t a woman?:)

Re: V-Drums in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Thats good to know I really need to try a few out. I’m being very lazy with not wanting to mic the things up but as i do it as a job i’ve just had enough of it. And the sounds i have heard are wuite good. I was looking at the mess fitted skins to help give more feel compared to just the pad ones.

Re: Guitar in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

So you have built a frankenstein, at least it has an original sound.
I remember once getting bored and taking apart some cheap distortion pedal i had and adding stuff, it sounds fucking great now but works when it wants to and gives you electric shocks.

Re: Guitar in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Yes I bought it and threw in a drum kit off my Parents next door neighbour, he used to be the Guitar player in Whitesnake back in the 70’s and has a few of them it’s soooo nice to play. it’s a bit like spinal tap with me “don’t touch it don’t even look at it…I said don’t”

Re: Guitar in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Personaly I’m a fan of the Gibson Dot 535’s the body isn’t completly solid and with the fat strings on it, it’s huge with distortion and really clean without.

I also have a jazzmaster which is fun on occations.

Re: Your Amps - Your Sound in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I used to just use bass amps all the time too get a nice clean sound then shove a Big muff in the mix as well and Kyuss here we come. But that was oinly in my last band to help the mix me with the low sound the other guitar a trebley sound, but it worked.

Re: Fender guitars. in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

It depends what I’m using it for, i like fenders for lighter stuff jazzmasters are great guitars and I don’t mind a telecaster. But for bigger sounding songs then a gibson is good. It all comes down to the sound you want.

Re: What is the best Guitar shop in the UK? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

There is quite a good online store in America that i have bought a guitar from before http://www.music123.com i triewd the guitar out in another shop then bought it from them it was so much cheaper and the postage still brought it under the english prices and it took about two weeks to arrive.

Re: Preferred Plectrums? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I’m quite bad with picks but i like medium ones nothing to stiff or too soft, even though i have been playing Guitar for 15 years i have never really settled on one. I gues the ones i use the most are a set a friend of mine made for me. She builds F1 racing cars so she made them out of a bit of a jaguar don’t ask me how!
