Not going to go with gender specific best ofs, it makes it sound like they’ve got a disability/disadvantage or so, which I don’t really agree with - I piled them all in with the males. Anyway, Kim Deal’s one of my favorite bassplayers.. along with Flea, Mike Mills, JJ Burnell and Cris Kirkwood.

Of course I like Michael too, but that kind of goes without saying considering where I’m posting, does it not?

I’d have to say the best guitarists for me would be John Frusciante, David Gilmour and Curt Kirkwood.. but on the favorite department I can get really inspired by the styles of Andy Cairns, Syd Barrett and Frank Black.
