Do you guys have an album in the works by any chance…i DO like that cd and…its too short! i want more:p
http://www.cdbaby.com is a great place for indy bands to sell their music by the way…

Well, Dry Rise are an unsigned band at the mo so there are no concrete plans for any “proper” release.

Our current aim would be to get an indie label to put out a single, see how it does, then go from there to an album.

And Jut - there are a further 3 tracks available for free on http://www.dryrise.com - “The Big I Am” (as seen on Scuzz/ May 2004 Rock Sound mag CD) is on the MUSIC page, and if you sign up to the forum you can get SHATTERED and MY ADVICE.

All are free and CD quality, engineered by John Mitchell (Funeral For A Friend, Cooper Temple Clause) :D

Re: Brighton Gig - How many from board going? in Therapy? Live

Cool man, glad you got a CD. We were meant to bring 100’s but never had time to do enough of them!

Over-zelous merch girls, fans and band “managers” always make me laugh with their hype :D

Re: Brighton Gig - How many from board going? in Therapy? Live

It was really good fun! What a great bunch of guys.

They even made a point of watching our set, they clocked the Kerbdog connection in our name too!

They blew me away live too, 2nd time i saw them but they just controlled the room this time… :D

Re: Brighton Gig - How many from board going? in Therapy? Live

Last night was a great gig! Hung out with the band afterwards and they were really nice guys.

I was the singer in the first band on, DRY RISE. If anyone by chance got any photos, we’d be up for seeing them!!!!

Thanks to anyone who came early enough to see us, we were surprised how busy it was considering we were on at 8!!!!

Title: Therapy? in Brighton April 21st (merged)

Hi

My band DRY RISE are supporting THERAPY? at the Concorde 2 in Brighton on April 21st. We are damn stoked about this :D

So this is an invitation for people to check us out prior to the show, where we get to play with our heroes!!!

Our influences are Kerbdog, Therapy, Metallica and Nirvana. We’ve had a video on Scuzz and a track on the cover cd of Rock Sound magazine, we’re still unsigned though.

Visit http://www.dryrise.com and download all our FREE tracks (produced by John Mitchell - Funeral For A Friend, The Cooper Temple Clause, The Hurt Process)

Thanks for reading!

Re: KERBDOG… Reformed..?????? in Other Bands & Artists

Well I have now returned from Dublin back to England and WOO what a show. It was amazing to see Kerbdog finally, after obsessing after them for years :D And I gave out loads of Dry Rise CDs so that was cool.

I might have to go to another show…!

Re: DRY RISE in Other Bands & Artists

Hey dude, good to hear from ya!

The Wilt board is down and has been for a month, which is terrible considering the imminent Kerbdog gig and the meet-up opportunities being wasted :(

Any news on the post-Kerbdog Dublin gig for DryRise?

Sadly not dude.

The guy who was originally sorting it out has not been returning emails, PMs or MSN so I think we can assume we are being avoided, which is a real shame as we were well up for the most rock weekend in history!!!!

Nevertheless I am still coming to Dublin to get drunk and see Kerbdog, and will be giving out loads of DR cd’s… :D

Re: DRY RISE in Other Bands & Artists

Yeah, it’s always hard knowing what influences to list isn’t it. It’s a fine line, not wanting to put people off but to put in enough variety to give people an idea!

Our influences could be summarised as Kerbdog, Metallica, Silverchair in terms of the overall sound I suppose.

DRY RISE in Other Bands & Artists

Title: A brand new Dry Rise track - you’ll love it and its free :D

The new Dry Rise track “interstellar” is now available on http://www.dryrise.com on the Music page.

You’ll dig it if you like bands like Kerbdog, Silverchair, Inme, Nirvana, Therapy, Wildhearts, Funeral For A Friend, Fuel, Foo Fighters.

Its best described as intense, melodic rock/metal.

Please go check it out and let us know what you think…!

Re: Janus Stark in Other Bands & Artists

When they were Janus Stark, Dry Rise supported them for a couple of shows. (though we had a different name then!)

I have the first “The More I See” demo that Gizz gave me, and it was ace!

travel to Dublin from England - help! in Chit-Chat

Title: travel to Dublin from England - help!

I’m making my first trip to Ireland in Feb to see Kerbdog in Dublin…

I am wondering if any helpful people on this board know the cheapest companies to go with.

I’ve only flown once, so assume i know nothing!

Ideally, i want to take my guitar and maybe my amp head as we (my band) are gonna try and get a gig in dublin on the sunday night somewhere.

THanks for any help!

band for fans of Therapy? and Kerbdog in Other Bands & Artists

Title: band for fans of Therapy? and Kerbdog

hi everyone

i’m not gonna bullsh*t “check out this new band” stylee; this is blatantly my band and i’d really like everyone to check us out.

If you like therapy, kerbdog, silverchair, fuel, foo fighters (or anything heavy but melodic), i think you will dig what we are doing. Our stuff is top-notch production, and has been on TV & magazine compilations.

Please download our new song, and join our forum/mailing list, on http://www.dryrise.com

Any comments are welcomed by the way. Listen and enjoy.

Here’s a really brief biog, for those who are interested:

“…came out of the box and kicked me right in the nuts!” - Bowling for Soup on DRY RISE (Scuzz TV, April 2004)

Intense, melodic rock/metal from Brighton. Their video for “The Big I Am” was on Scuzz almost every 2 hours, all throughout May.

Hand-picked into the final of a televised “battle of the bands” event, DRY RISE have gained massive international exposure, including a track on top-selling UK music magazine “Rock Sound”.

Drawing on influeences as diverse as Kerbdog, Nirvana and Glassjaw, the hugely catchy yet heavy sound of DRY RISE is well summarised in the new track “My Advice”, produced by John Mitchell (Funeral for a Friend, The Hurt Process, Hiding with Girls).
