Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
He did apologize, but I will admit that I would have been pretty pissed if I travelled all the way to Cologne and only wanted to see Therapy? from that bill.
Maybe they will play an extended set or something the next time they are there. The fact that he at least came onto the boards and officially apologized proves that he is not trying to pretend that it never happened or tell us to go fuck ourselves for not liking it.
I have been to 8 Therapy? gigs over the years and they were all incident free - cut the man some slack, it was out of character.

Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
@Hurricane Holgi,
No, I would be happy if it were Rudolf Schenker. What can I say dude, people who come from Hannover Germany and claim to dislike the Scorpions just ain’t real Hannover folk to me ;)
As for the Michael thing, sounds like he is really sorry for it. In all the Therapy? gigs I have been to in the past he was the one member you could usually count on for being sober. Hope there is no repeat, he is a true legend on stage.
That Jaegermeister is a demons drink (not “the” demons drink, that remains fully reserved for Whisky…), he must have misjudged.

OK, they have been to Belgium enough times - never again! :p
I am sure there is a valid reason for the quiet, an update would be nice.
My guess is that they are simply taking a break.
Still, this fact that they didn’t do headliner = pants and I hope our time will come again soon.

And to add on the loyalty point, I was at both of those support slots.

Yeah,
I am behind the POO (never thought I would find myself saying those exact words…)
Good for you for at least giving it a shot and if it ever worked out I would drag my posse up to Cork - where the pints are at least cheaper…

Re: No plans for Irish shows in Therapy? Live
Was about to say - only one gig left in the tour section.
I find it all a bit sad to be honest as I believe this is the first album ever where they have not done a headlining gig in Dublin (hey, would even go to Cork), then again, I could be wrong.
Maybe they are just taking a break, who knows. Maybe they are gonna start recording the next one.
It sucks donkey balls!
And before some wisearse rehashes a previous argument - no I do not want to fly abroad to see them.

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
Sorry,
would guess that the place fit around 20 - 30 thousand people.

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
I would compare it with the RDS outdoors.
Is pretty decent, just a pain that it is so far out. The bus service was however top notch though thank god.

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
Anyways,
There is a shuttle bus service from the quays in the city centre out to Marley park - a return ticket costs 6.
All in all very good and I was surprised at how quickly the bus got us back to the city centre.
My advice would be to leave as early as you can - the buses depart between 4.30 and 7 - I got the bus at 7 and it took us a full hour to get there due to rush hour traffic!
Anyways, is a decent venue for an open air gig - still prefer the RDS though.
Oh yeah, and Aerosmith rocked - was however pissed of that they did not play “dude looks like a lady”.
Very important - the bars at the venue close at 10!

Nah, Aerosmith on Tuesday - hope the bloody weather picks up.
Would have loved to go to the who gig also, but my wallet said no.
Will let you know how it pans out.

Re: your best T? gig ever? in Therapy? Live
1995 during the Infernal Love tour.
Was in the Music Hall, Hannover, Germany.
Around 5 thousand people - totally kicked ass!

Well as written above, there is a bus that gets you close. Getting back should be fun.
Probably end up getting a Nitelink home if they are running.
Just got year zero yesterday - talk about a classic CD, it even changes colour in your player!

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
Hey man,
to be honest, I don’t have a fucking clue. This whole thing stinks to high heavens. I received the email telling me to send back the tickets only a day before the woman from Ticketmaster called me. Even on the phone I was like “are you taking the piss? Can you confirm 100% that NIN are going to be playing?”. Appartently they are definitely playing.
Such a fuck up - I kind of wonder if it was a ploy to see if the Foo’s would sell out without major assistance…
Anyways, looking forward to seeing NIN finally playing in Ireland - even if it is only for 45 mins or so.

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
Sent my tickets back to ticketmaster to get refunded and got a call from them today - apparently, I shit you not, Nine Inch Nails will be supporting after all!
Asked for my tickets back…

I saw them at Slane - they were on just before the Chilli Peppers.
I liked their album “The sound and the shape” or whatever it is called - but found them average live…

Now that’s what I like to hear. Here’s hoping not with the Foo Fighters :)

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
yeah,
The same thing happened to me a few years ago when Gary Moore pulled out from the Whitesnake gig as support *blush* (may I should just shut up sometimes…)
Anyways, got the full whack back.
Will try to hold out and see if I can find out who will be replacing NIN.
Would have to be one heck of a band to drag me out on a Wed out to Marlay though…

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
I got an email from Ticketmaster saying I would be refunded if that is what I want. According to them, NIN deffo aren’t opening.
Try and play this one out a bit - not going there just for the Foos.

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
I think Trent would dig the psychotic element and sampling in early Therapy? tracks for sure…
Probably wouldn’t happen however. Glowing ladies in the dark throwing frizbees it shall be so…

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
Now your talkin - talk about 1 + 1 = 2
Ladytron??? (Imagining women that glow in the dark and throw frizbees…)
NIN headliner - I am shaking with excitement, it would be about time they visited our neck of the woods.

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
I know, and I remember Andy once expressing his “love” for the Foo Fighters on German TV, but it is a big open air gig after all.
Now that NIN is out (still somewhat inconclusive) Therapy? could save the day. Otherwise those Ticketbastards are giving me a refund.

Re: get therapy? on the foo fighters/NIN gig in dublin, in Therapy? Live
Try the helter skelter crowd that Colin mentions above.
Wouldn’t hold my breath with Ticketmaster - they have a “contact us” section on their website. Otherwise all I could think of is MCD?
Anyways, think I may be asking for my money back.

You going to ask for your money back or go?
Sent Ticketbastard an email to confirm.

Yeah. Keep me posted dude. should that end up being the case, will try for a refund I reckon.
hehe, and after that it will be announced that Therapy? have been added instead knowing my luck…
